Stop gmail notifications for iPhone calendar events

Hi - help appreciated!

When I've got an event on my iPhone calendar I get a notification as an email and I want to stop this.

I still want notifications to come up on my phone - but i don't want them as an email.

My email account linked to my iPhone is gmail (I presume the calendar is linked to gmail too?)

I can't seem to find the right help online. Anyone know how to do this?

You need to log into Google Calendar in a web browser and turn off email notifications.
