As EE is now owned by BT, can you get the discount on EE contracts which are offered on BT. You get £5 off BT mobile if you have broadband.

Can you do this with EE as well now, does anyone know?

BT Mobile and EE are still seperate brands with different products and pricing. You cannot get £5 off your EE contract for being a BT customer like you can with BT Mobile

EE are also a separate brand to both t-mobile and orange and any discounts EE offer apply to t-mobile and orange too, so why not a discount too for being an EE customer also with a BT landline broadband.

The 2 × 100GB EE special sims, the topup credit card have the EE, T-mobile and orange symbols on them, so you can topup at shops that offer topups for any of the three.

Because they haven't "Merged" companies, BT just own EE.

Same as how BT own Plusnet, but you don't get a discount on BT mobile for being with Plusnet etc

So do BT now own 50 per cent of Virgin Mobile or was that not part of the deal?

Virgin Media (Liberty Global, to be completely accurate) owns Virgin Mobile...

Originally when VM launched it was a 50% joint venture with one2one, later T-Mobile. However, that stake was sold back to Virgin in 2004, so EE never owned any part of it.
