Someone I know has asked me how to synchronise contacts, emails etc between their iPad and wIndows PC. I don't currently know what operating system they have, or email client they're using.
I've done a bit of research and want to know if the following accurately summarises what can be done. Or are there better ways to do it?
Emails can be kept in sync by setting up email accounts as IMAP rather than pop. This keeps the emails on the server so all devices see the same emails. Deleting an email on one device deletes it from the others.
Syncing things like contacts, calendar etc depends on the email client. Outlook can be synced using iCloud. Other clients must be synced with iTunes installed as an app on the PC and by using a cable connection between iPad and PC.
Is that about the size of it?
