Exactly, odds are set based on how people are betting - not at the bookie's whim! At least once betting has started.

I would've marked for Tatanka.

I feel bad too that Funaki didn't get a run-out. Him appearing as a Japanese commentator was a real WTF moment.

Loads of rumours tonight about returns and debuts. The latest is

Spoiler

Yeah, like i said earlier, it makes sense now!

Though, i would be surprised if the bookies accepted big bets on WWE events. For example (not related to wwe) i went to put £50 on Tony O'Shea (no idea what i was thinking, think i'd just had a big roulette win) @66/1 to win the BDO championship on betfair last year but they wouldn't let me. Max bet allowed was £25.

So what's the betting there are actually no returns/debuts and they completely drop the ball?

Very unlikely. Even if they don't have remarkable debuts, look at Neville and Kalisto last year just being thrown into random matches, they at least have them.

With it being WWE? Very likely.

I imagine there will be some though. Even WWE realise that the Raw after WM is a special one and usually put the effort in.

I must say, I enjoyed Mania as an attraction. I enjoyed the vast majority of the matches.

Yes, there were innumerable questionable booking decisions in terms of winners, but some great in ring action.

Ladder match was a lot of fun.
AJ/Jericho brilliant from bell to bell but wrong winner.
Taker/Shane - absolutely amazing from both men.
Great women's title match too.

Betfair is different as it's a betting exchange and not a traditional bookies

Only on the Exchange part! I read an article a while back saying how the bookies aren't playing fair on that front......I was in betfred once and a guy wouldn't wanted to put £500 on Scotland (football) to beat someone (forget who) and max bet they could take was £275!

Just got back from my mate's. Worst Wrestlemania main event ever?

I think it was more tone deaf than an actively bad match. Suffered from the combination of a guy fans don't want to see in his role and the usual deficiencies HHH big matches almost always have.

I was watching with another fan and two casuals. The casuals were utterly confused. Why is that guy dressed in a child's superhero costume? Why is he getting booed? This match is boring. How come it's still going on? How come this is the main event? etc. etc.

Both Roman and HHH can work I've always said that. But what are they being given to work with? Reigns is one of the worst booked wrestlers ever. What can be possibly do to get his non-character over? What are his motivations? How can we possibly relate to or care about him? Most of the match he was playing the heel anyway in terms of body language and playing to the crowd. So what's the story here? Watch an evil authority figure fight an arrogant personality-free jackass? Who's going to watch that?

Seriously, Hogan-Slaughter pisses all over that match on every level creatively. Think about that. Hogan ****ing Slaughter.

Oh yeah, and I've always said it: If you turn the crowd mics off or dub in fake heat you lose. You have failed. You deserve nothing.

Oh yeah, I totally agree. But that's all on the booking rather than just what they were doing in there. I think Roman bumped and sold well for example. But that's by the by in the wider context. He is the worst booked 'top star' ever.

Hi all I watched Wrestlemania 32 earlier I was gonna watch it last night but there was an error on the WWE Network whenever I tried to watch it on my tab and after watching that event thank god I didnt stay up till around 5am last night my god did it drag or what? Dont get me wrong there were some matches that I enjoyed but some of the matches lasted too long for my liking plus there were some really questionable winners:

Ladder Match-Good match strange result Zack Ryder as IC champ seriously WWE wasnt this guy a jobber a month ago?

AJ/Y2J-Enjoyable match even though we have seen it a billion times the match shouldnt have lasted longer than it did imo and no way should Jericho have beaten Styles in Styles Wrestlemania debut.

New Day/LON-Or as what I like to call it the WWE equivalent of Arsenal v Spurs cause I dont give a toss about both teams again another match that went on too long for my liking and my god New Day gave Saiyans a bad name lol. The only highlight was HBK/Foley/Austin apperance plus Woods getting a Stone Cold Stunner.

Ambrose/Lesnar-Enjoyable match I knew Ambrose wasnt gonna use the Chainsaw and Barbed Wire bat as weapons but at least they made an apperance.

Triple threat Womens title match-Imo best match of the night hats off to all 3 women but no way should Charlotte have won it should have been Becky or Sasha plus I do love the new Womens title belt certaintly way better than that trashy Divas title belt.

Undertaker/Shane-I enjoyed that match Shane jumping off that Cell brought back some memories of him jumping over things just like the good old days but did the match had to go on for 30 minutes?

ATG Battle Royal-Went on too long for my liking but Im glad that Baron Corbin won I know Im gonna get a lot of stick for saying this but I do like the guy and I think he has a good future if WWE dont build him up like Roman Reigns.

HHH/Reigns-Match went on for too long for my liking I only got invested in the match the moment Reigns speared HHH through the barricade predictable ending it should not have been a 20 minute match.

Overall Wrestlemania was a complete shambles felt like the longest near 5 hours of my life it felt like I was in a deep sleep at times no wonder why NXT Takeover Dallas blew this years Wrestlemania right out of the water. Sorry for rambling on like JBL but I just had to air my grievance lol.

Stephanie was appalling. Smugly - not even kayfabe heelishly - soaking up the pops for her husband against the supposed protagonist.

Technically the match was very good, however. All the spots were executed well and the build to the finish, with Stephanie taking the spear, was really well done. The booking, the creative, the reaction, the commentary, how long the match ran...turned it into a far worse match than it should have been. Still, it was better than Orton/Helmsley @ WM 25.

I totally agree the in-ring work was good. But sadly that means nothing if the story around it doesn't work. In this case the story didn't just not work - there barely was a story.

I was trying to explain it to the casuals and I couldn't. 'Reigns wants the title and hates triple H, who runs the company' was the best I could do.

I kept saying 'hold on, something good is going to happen' but it just didn't. I honestly thought they would swerve us somehow but it just .. went on. It was so, so, so bad. Taker Shane was okay, if slow. But that main event, man. That's two grade-A 'Mania stinkers for HHH in a row.

Spoiler
Apparently Undertaker was telling people after last nights match that he's wrestled his last one.

Above is in spoiler because it's possibly used tonight.

Meltzer is reporting the actual attendance was just under 98,000

If the spoiler is true then it makes the result last night even more bizarre

At least his Mania 31 match had some entertainment with the random interferences. He's had a mixed bag at Mania recently really.

Mania 27 and 28 - Split opinion but I think very watchable matches with Taker.
Mania 29 - Yawntastic match with Lesnar with a nonsensical 'If HHH loses, he retires' stipulation.
Mania 30 - Great match with Bryan
Mania 31 - Interesting match with Sting
Mania 32 - Disaster of a main event.
