Anyone4 been keeping up with WWE's upupdowndown channel? Hosted by Xavier Woods its great to see the Superstars doing something in a different light, only wonder what a Attitude era versuion would have been with Austin or Taker on the show.

Jericho was awesome playing Pacman and giving cool stories, but Miz I dunno. Now I know his character on tv is supposed to be a complete jackass but when he wa on this show he just came across as a arrogant self centered prick and no idea if hes like that in real life or he was just living his character in WWE and keeping with Kayfabe.

Any ideas?

Exactly. A mark wouldn't have a clue what that line was about and it was just so out of place. Takes you out of the moment.

On a similar tone, Cena's 'Fine speech' line winds me up no end.
This basically makes him sound like WWE's version of Team America Matt Damon

Now this is a gimmick that I'd like to see for Cody. Far superior than the Stardust trash he's currently working with (seriously WWE, why haven't you dropped it yet).

Eden also looks very promising as a heel manager, would like to see more of her as something more than an interviewer/announcer.

I was always under the impression that Stardust was Cody's choice.

Dunno about USA network, but Spike told TNA they couldn't have any male on female violence at all ever, presumably meaning you couldn't do ref bumps with women refs.

Yeah, those smarky-smark fake shoot angles are so stupid when they go over the head of the regular audience to try to make them seem really insider and convince the smart fans that the angle is real. Makes no sense and alienates the audience. For all his whinging about the internet fans etc., Vince Russo was obsessed with running these sorts of stupid angles in WCW and TNA.

Agree on the fake shoot stuff - especially the half-assed way they often do it. Either do it properly or not at all.

They honestly irritate me beyond belief - nearly as much as the terms 'indy darling' or 'vanilla midget' which are beyond out-of-date and embarassing to read at this point (if it ever wasn't).
I especially the idea that a superstar being liked is a bad thing.

It'd be more interesting to know if HHH and Cena get tested.

Vince Russo has a video of him talking to Grado and Grados Mum on his VIP section. I just hope it's not too cringey as Grado tends to really sell his accent.

I was wondering, do the WWE make/have a version of each show/PPV without the graphics/overlays and comms or do they just have shows/PPV as they're shown live/on TV?

I'm sure they do now. WWE will have raw recordings of everything they do but with computers these days it's so easy to add what they want. They don't tend to use the titan tron much now but when they did it often showed different angles from what we seen at home any live feed they show backstage of wrestlers watching the monitors are always minus the on screen logos and #s. It could probably done with older recordings too but I would imagine they would have to piece it all together from the different camera footage and basically re edit the shows.

Like the most amazing, weird, unprecedented, unbelievable, feel good but heartbreaking episode ever.

The best way to make things exciting and seem real is simply to have a sense of chaos. Everything in WWE seems really controlled. Like, when they did that mad Lesnar vs Undertaker brawl last summer I was excited for the match and able to get carried away with the feud without them having to do loads of stupid insider stuff that makes no sense.
