JCR if you were a real wrestling fan you wouldn't wish for any wrestling company that is on TV to be off TV. Same with those that want TNA to go out of business. If you don't watch it that's fine, that doesn't mean there aren't others out there that don't and maybe can't afford Sky Sports to watch other wrestling out there.


As FMKK says, no way should AJ Styles have won the belt off Roman. No way whatsoever. You don't put that much effort into Roman and then strip it away from him as quickly as that.

Sure, my comment was more aimed at those who agreed with Vader and the idea that the same audience and critical reaction could have been earned through 20 minutes of chain wrestling instead. It is, of course, nonsense. The match told a very clear story of two of the best cruiserweights in the world trying to outdo each other, and this story was clear through the number of 50/50 spits, such as the countout or the opening section with all the reversals (not flip flopping as you put it).

I have to agree, two of the greatest WWE wrestlers of all time yet both their title matches sucked. The Wrestlemania match could have been a classic had they been given 25-30 minutes to work in. The less said about the Montreal match, the better.

I really dont know why fans shit on that Iron Man match now. I guess its because they want multiple decisions in these matches. I really hated the Trips/Rock one for ages given how many decisions happened in 1 hour that would never happen in a singles match. Rock DDT'ing Hunter in a singles match would never result in a pin victory.

I remember watching the Steamboat/Flair 1 hour draws and loved them.

I didn't like it when I watched it back then, has nothing to do with multiple decisions, just remember being bored watching it, especially when it was two of my favourite wrestlers going at it.

This is hilarious. I'd watch this any day over any of the segments/promos WWE have done over the last couple of years. Though the production is pretty awful...my cousin doing A level media studies could do a better job

Rough, yes. But a million times more crazy and entertaining than anything that's been on RAW for well over a year.

I think I'm getting you guys a bit more. Production values are very important to you, yeah? You know, I just want to be entertained. TNA's rough edges never bothered me because the show was unpredictable and exciting.

Goodness just got round to watching Raw. That was truly horrendous.

Not Raw #998 bad (one or two segments were respectable at least here) but at times was little better - and I was lucky enough to skip vast chunks of it.

Honestly felt as if they were filling a lot, some segments totally pointless and some truly awful booking in there.

I don't really understand WWE's tactic at the minute too of taking superstars fans want to cheer and turning them heel. It's almost as if WWE are doing a psuedo-reality feud with their own fans.
I liked that AJ turned but it's just utterly random.

And I fear even more for him now facing Cena - sure the matches will be good and he may even get a win but very few come out on top in a feud v Cena and 3 v 1 feuds against Cena rarely help the group of 3.

That said the New Day teaming up with Cena to take on the Club wouldn't be particularly good either.
The New Day have big support at the moment and Cena getting involved with superstars that fans and storylines fans are interested in rarely helps those superstars - see Ryder, Rollins/Ambrose, Ziggler, Usos as examples.

And I'm just flabbergasted with the booking for Rollins/Reigns on Raw. That was honestly painful to watch.
Why couldn't they honestly just have had him return as a face?

That said at least it had some vague, very vague, sense of a purpose - which is more than can be said for whatever that opening segment was.. For all the usual opening segment criticisms, at least there's normally some end-point or goal they're working towards.

I just want him in a feud he gets to win. At the moment, he basically looks like a choke artist. Of course he's facing big name superstars which is a good thing but he has to actually win a feud v someone at some point.
And normally a heel turn means the exact opposite.

The only feud he's won at the minute is the 'who can run back and forwards the most' feud. And even then Rollins ran him close.


They weren't great but did pop for Shane's entrance to be fair to them. Once that promo continued you can't blame them for being silent.



The **** did I just watch. I feel like I need a shower to wash away the shame of seeing that. The acting, the production, the complete lack of any coherent storytelling. The delivery of it makes 'Tater Tots' seem like Austin 3:16 in comparison

I'd say that's the worst thing TNA's produced but there are strong contenders for that honour.

And more importantly when did Matt Hardy decide his look should exactly match a toddler's drawing of Seth Rollins? And I'm probably being harsh on toddlers there.

Also, how did I miss this about Indian WWE fans taking the Charlotte/Ric Flair segment last week a bit too seriously?

My main issue with it is that I have no actual clue what's going on during it.

That said while production values aren't that important to me, having some production values is nice. I could've shot something better.

Roman Reigns really needs new attire and better music.

I'm not one to pay attention to Meltzer but I wonder if he is true and the USA Network is unhappy with Smackdown's ratings being worse than the Friday night ones on SyFy last year. I also had no idea USA Network pays $32 million a year just for the 3rd hour of Raw ALONE and that an additional Friday night showing of Raw in the US is to try make more of that ad revenue back.

I also had no idea that WWE is paying for Smackdown to go live out of their own pockets. Why would they pay the additional money out of their own pockets if the USA Network is happy and ratings don't really matter?

Apparantly the adult male demographic is at an all time low.

Of course I refuse to believe anything any dirtsheet says but it does make you wonder about it all. Obviously the lower the ratings are the lower the ad revenue is and it's USA that takes that hit, not the WWE. The USA Network must have a bottom line somewhere, there must be a rating that WWE has to hit or stay above in order for them to split even on what they're paying WWE for their programming. We'll see how it goes. I know for many people on this forum it's part of their online act to go against me and pretend ratings don't matter but in real talk it really does make me wonder what the next 3-4 months hold if ratings don't improve.

He needs better everything when and if he does that I may start watching him again.
