The Sound of Silence - Simon and Garfunkel
I prefer Paul's solo version, beautiful song.

Just out of curiosity, I subjected myself to clips from the entire top 40. Approximately 75 per cent of the vocals were autotuned out of existence, so that it could have been absolutely anybody singing. The No. 1 was probably the worst of the lot, but a special mention has to go to Tiny Tempah, who came a very close second in the fight to be the most abysmal.

OMG! How could you put yourself through such god awful trauma? I hope you have got an appointment with your GP for a mental health treatment programme

It was prompted by one of the other threads. I couldn't name a single tune in the entire top 40 so I thought I'd have a peek. http://www.officialcharts.com/charts...singles-chart/
The only ones I'd even heard of were Adele and Bastille (weren't they in the Eurovision Song Contest?). I'd only heard of Olly Murs, Pink, Drake and Sia through them being mentioned on here. But how depressing. How the hell was that No.1 deliberately listened to by anybody?
