What's happening with George Michael?
Has George Michael completely given up on recording new music altogether?
"Symphonica" was released a few years ago but I couldn't have cared less about a live album. I am sick of getting compilation after compilation and remasters. Are we ever going to get any new material from him? It's been 12 years since he released "Patience". The last I heard was that he was working on a dance album but that was years ago. (Around the time of "White Light"). "Listen Without Prejudice" is supposed to be in the process of being remastered but I'm sure most would rather hear something new. Hurry up, George. We're waiting. |

Drink driving whilst stoned would be my guess. |

he's very wealthy so doesn't need to do anything, but over the past few years he's toured a lot and been ill, so that's why he hasn't released any new studio material, but he has been working on a new album and he's recently out of rehab so he might get the album finished

After the optimism and quality of White Light, I'd expected him to be grateful to be alive and get his finger out. But no, he's probably busy doing whatever ruinious nonsense takes his fancy this week. Once a great, great talent, now shot to pieces by his own attiude.

George who?
Actually, I've heard he's taken up taxi driving, but is baffled by the lack of custom. |

He hasn't given up. He was working on his album but went to rehab before Xmas. It seems he wants to do a world tour with what was being said in the press last week.

Wrong? You said he was there in the last few years in America. He wasnt, it was nearly 10 years ago
what i actually said was... the past few years he's toured a lot followed by he's played usa and Europe. 2012 is in the last few years btw secondly he played usa in 2008. that is the last few years as far as i'm concerned. there is no set definition of how many years a "few" is considering he has a musical career of about 25 years and hadn't toured for about 15 years, then did so many shows between 2006 and 2012, comparatively to the rest of his career that's a lot of shows in recent years, especially considering his ill health |

So he has done no tours in America for about 8 years. That isnt a few its a lot in fan terms. You simply cannot admit you were wrong you were by the way.
followed by he's played usa and Europe. 2012 is in the last few years btw so it would appear if anyone can't admit they are wrong, it's you for a career of 35 years i'd say 8 years is a few. with the last shows in 2012, i'd say that was a few years ago too. if you don't, then that would be one of the reasons why you are wrong, and not bothering to google would perhaps be another |

I'll happily wait forever for George. His voice live is just incredible and well worth the wait. He sounds even better live than recorded.
He's had his own demons to deal with. Just because he is rich and famous, it doesn't mean he is immune from the frailties of the human mind. He has given millions of people huge amounts of pleasure for years and years. If he wants to take time out to get himself well, then good luck to him. |

Yeah I wish him all the best too.
Listen without Predjudice and Older were incredible albums, the latter is unbelievably 20 years old now. They're not to everyones taste but I could listen to them at any time |

He's a drug addict and seems to have problems kicking it. That's the fraility, but not uncommon in show business. Wish him well in getting "clean".

Yes I thought George hit his peak with the 'Older' album in 1996. This is such an amazing album. George seemed on form around this period with both his image/look and his voice which has always been incredible but seemed more soulful around the mid 1990's.
I wish George a speedy recovery and hope he makes more music soon. The last we heard George was working on a new dance album in 2013 but not heard anything about this in a while probably due to his personal issues. The latest rumour from a couple of weeks ago is George is hoping to tour again but this was denied by his agent. I hope this is true although I'd rather George release some new material first before embarking on another tour. Perhaps if he releases a new album followed by something similar to what he did for the MTV live set in 1997 would be brilliant. |

"Older" was a beautiful album. I remember when I first bought it I played it non stop for months. I really hope he returns with something similar but I think we're more likely to get a "Patience pt 2" lol.

Or was that just ridiculous press? |

That's like talking about the world which has been around for millions of years and saying 500 years ago is "a few years ago".

it's not really. maybe to you
maybe to you. but as i mentioned before it's not defined as such. even following your logic, would you consider 2013 to be a few years ago but not 2012 when he last toured? and what would make one year the difference between a few years and not a few years? i've never heard that. but any sane person would surely deduct that it's more made up nonsense like what the sun print to try and generate a response from the artists. he's got piles of money so doesn't need to lower himself to such crap like that |
