All these news reports seem to have come from one source. Still not sure I believe it. With Easter coming up, is a launch likely to happen before the end of the month?

People have reported being able to add their Nationwide cards to the app, I think it's definitely on the way.

All of my cards in Wallet shows "Unsupported", when I tried to add to app.

It also doesn't work on the Developer versions of Android at all (comes up with a "not allowed" screen when opening the app) for those of you who might have Android N Preview on their Nexus's (Nexii?)

You can just download it from GPS, why risk a potentially dodgy APK where you put your credit card info? (not that it'll work anyway)

Interesting that RBS and its subsidiaries aren't listed as launch banks. I am also with one that is, so it'll be good to try it out when it does launch.
Seems predictable that Barclays aren't. |

I thought it was launching at the end of March, now saying months...
At least my bank is listed. No Barclays again, and no Amex. |

The thing with Barclays is, their credit card subsidiary has had a great contactless app for a while now and it allows up to £100 contactless payments.

My bank will support it, but we've got the usual Android fragmentation that my device it's even on Android M yet and despite having a fingerprint reader is not supported by the app at the moment.
This is where having a an iPhone means developers launch it first on iPhone, heck even Microsoft launch their own apps on iPhone first before Windows phone, everyone gets fair updates all on the same day and is always on the latest software with a reasonable device, all apps work as it's 1 platform, no messing. Seriously thinking of moving to the 7+ or whatever in the summer. |

No Amex at the launch of Android Pay it seems either. I was pondering buying a 6S but will wait and see what Apple launch later this year I think. |

Yeah I thought going Nexus was the answer for a perfect Android experience, but no one other than Google keeps up because hardly anyone uses them. Only geeks who know exactly what they want. Everyone else goes Samsung or HTC. As the Apple keynote pointed out, only 2% are on the latest version of Android. That's a bit of an indicator of Nexus's market share in the Android ecosystem.
Not looking hopeful for Android Pay this month, shame! But not too surprising - I did think it odd that the banks weren't hyping it up. I'm with First Direct and they'd definitely have been advertising "Android Pay coming soon!" by now. And if only 2% of Android users at best (given that Moto G probably accounts for a lot of that and doesn't have NFC) can even use it, what's the point. The original rumour of second half of the year seems more accurate. |
