I thought last night's episode was better. It was good to have a break in the monotony of the boat and it was interesting to see a bit of Strand's back story.
I didn't realise Dougray Scott was going to be in it. A pleasant surprise! |

They are just off the bay, they looked across to the complex last week, Nick had the address of the bloke that Strand was supposed to meet. Strand got off the boat when it was ambushed, to try and escape to the shore, but he was spotted and the boat was shot, he tried to call his man but dropped his satellite phone in the water, so just drifted away a few hundred yards from Abigail.
Thank you very much for taking time to explain it to me. I am grateful for your effort, and I know understand everything that happened in the episode

As soon as the 3 appeared on the dingy I knew it was going to be a crappy hostage situation, with our lot falling for them easily and spending the rest of the episode making up for the mistake. So hardly any zombie stuff.
I know it is a rhetorical question but why didn't they check the baby bump was real FGS? rolleyes And we also have a pre zombie flash back, because they can't waste enough of the episode on non zombie action. |

i can't see why they need someone to 'get them into Mexico' - they are in a boat, they just need to land anywhere they want as i doubt in the midst of a zombie apocalypse there will be anyone checking passports and visas!

And I dont understand the whole Mexico thing at all. If there is a global, deadly (or un-deadly..) virus spreading, and the whole world is on the brink of collapse.. Also, your only language is English. Wouldn't you want to be either, A. In your own country. Or B. In USA or any other well developed European country? |

Did Strand not say that he had a place that had big walls and plenty of supplies, i presume that is why they are heading there.

That beginning sequence was weird, thought he was dreaming for a while. It was well done though. And, yet again, Nick starts off in a sparkling white top and immediately gets it smeared in gore, teenagers eh?!
I don't really see the appeal of Mexico either. Strand's boyfriend seemed to have a comfortable set up in that new town he was living in. That collection of deserted tents gave an insight into how others were living when they were in their enclave. |

Maybe you didn't watch the episode properly?
The lady was running over the hill saying run, they are coming, she then helped them get to their boat, as they set off, she said they had to stop off and pick something up, which was obviously her dingy with the lad in it. Okay, my mistake. My fault. But nevertheless it must have been a very abrupt blink and you'd miss it scene. Surely there should have been more interaction and suspicion, paranoia, and questioning. Just a bit of drama where you actually see some dramatic interaction. Because the group are suspicious of anyone else they come into contact with. |

This is just not flowing well. Maybe there's something I missed, like last week, but scenes just seem to abruptly come out of nowhere and it's not easy to figure out what's going on.
For example, I put my hands up and admit that I may have missed something at the start which explained why drug boy was wandering about in a housing estate. I understood later on that Strand had asked him to go ahead. But was this covered at the start of the episode? And then when the group were taken over in the boat. What? Why? Who? How did that happen? It was like a magician's trick where stuff suddenly happened but I couldn't work out what was going on. One second the group were in control, and then suddenly the other people were. And I didn't quite catch how Strand appeared where he did outside with the liferaft. This was edited so quickly with shaky-cam I couldn't tell what on earth what was going on. |

That's where TWD crew got it wrong, they should just go to the nearest holiday resort. |

You must be right, I couldn't have watched it properly. I vaguely remember hearing that dialogue, but I must have turned my head or been distracted by something. I don't know, but evidently you must be right so I have to believe you.

Wasn't time to ask questions.
Summary. Strand was right. Don't tell strangers too much and don't help anyone. |

Yes, I agree. Although I did see that scene with the woman, it was over too quickly. And suddenly they are in a boat behind them.
The group should have asked a lot of questions. However, I did watch that section again and, to be honest, she said quite clearly - we need to make a stop. But no other explanation. Given Daniel's distrust of anyone and his past life, I don't see why he would agree to that. |

It has evolved. I also think it is very badly edited. Without any discussion between Nick and Strand we see Nick swimming to shore -naked. What was that about. Why was he not dressed. Okay, I guess it was something to do with walking about in wet clothes but aren't they in Los Angeles surely his clothes would dry quickly. And given that they know someone is coming after them and that other people have been gunned down why was nobody on watch to prevent anyone just boarding. Why did Strand not see them coming if he was watching for Nick. And why the hell did he get off the boat. He could easily have hidden and picked them off quietly one at a time. Even I could have done that. |

I find i have to watch it twice to catch everything, im often tired when i first watch it, and it can be poor editing at times.
The place in Mexico is in the mountains, has walls and food, a lot of rich people have Doomsday bunkers. They where a mile or 2 out, clothing is a real drag when swimming and would have tired him out. How to survive a zombie apocalypse: Find a mountain range, keep quiet, mimic the way the undead walk and NEVER fight http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencete...dead-walk.html |

Even I could have done that. I was one who thoroughly enjoyed the first series because I felt as though it was traveling along a well paced path. I really enjoyed it and thought it would go from strength to strength. So at the start of this series I expected them to not spend so much time with the boat, and that the story would move onto something else either during the second episode or at the end of it. But it's going to be the case that they will have been floating around in that damned boat for the vast majority of this series, if not all of it. It might sound petty but I'm simply bored of them being stuck in a boat, episode after episode. We've now had 4 episodes out of a total of 6, and the series is still boat based, which presumably they aren't going to leave until at least halfway through next week's 5th and penultimate episode of the series. It feels like it hasn't progressed at all since the first episode. I have no idea why the show makers thought it was a good idea to have them stuck in a boat for almost the entirety of the series. If somebody had told me that this was the synopsis for this series before it started I would have told them that can't be true because that decision would be madness. |

I think I may have made a mistake above. I posted that there are 6 episodes in Series 2, but apparently there are 15.
I made the mistake because on Wikipedia it only listed 6 episodes. It's still dragging for me though. |

There's 7 episodes and then a short break, i read it starts in June so it may be 2 to 4 weeks off air and then the final 8 eps.
ep 7, 22 May. It could become like star trek each episode a new land, haha. I Hope the boat gets sunk, or they get there quick and the place is destroyed and they have to find a new place. It should have been a 2 day boat ride at most, even if they went out into open ocean to avoid other boats. |

You may have missed it, but there are going to be 15 episodes (or that's what they said at the time)
