You gave me hope there. I thought there was to be about 15 episodes. And then you said 6 I thought thank god for that. I know I don't need to watch but I am curious just how long they will drag it out.

I think they will be on the boat for the entire series as they have paid a lot of money for the set. And they don't appear to have travelled very far. And now they will need to get the 2 the others took. That will take about 3 weeks. Then they will lose someone else who wanders off.

With the pool and boat i would think they would rent them both by the day, so its a case of is it cheaper to use streets and dress them up or not, It may be cheaper if they got a good block deal.

The first season missed the mark by a mile but I've been quite liking this second one *shrugs*

Probably, I can testify to having done that before.

Now you've made me abandon hope now.

I really don't understand why they thought keeping them stuck in a boat was a good idea for a 15 part series.
I remember in the first series it felt like we were in a world, with several sets which must have cost a pretty penny. A threat which was growing.
This being stuck in a boat lark provides absolutely no sense of them being in a world which is in the midst of a zombie apocalypse. It's all happening off set.
They (and we) have no knowledge of what's happening in the world regarding a developing story of zombies taking over the world.
The show better get its act together and get them to their destination quickly or sink the boat.

So the asian woman in the liferaft. she's coming back isn't she?
I would hope so because she appeared to have the makings of a good character.

To be honest, when I saw the helicopter flying overhead at the beginning of the episode, I thought that it would have been more interesting to have a series from the point of view of the government or the army or someone somewhere who has an understanding of what has happened globally and are perhaps doing something to help the situation. Another series with numpties making all the mistakes TWD crew have made can only be tedious. Adding the mysterious Strand and the mysterious place in Mexico just makes it more annoying.

And why would they need anyone to get them into Mexico. Its not like there is going to be a border patrol. Crazy. I think I am just watching it now for editing mistakes and to see just how far they will drag it out.

How the heck are these scripts being green lighted?

The crew AMC hires to work on the show is the issue. They know people will turn in regardless, so they make the show as cheap as possible and basically just hire anyone, no matter their experience. Last week's episode was written by someone who had never written a script in English before. The first episode of this season was edited by a man who hadn't worked in half a decade. One of the first season's episodes was written by a failed teen actress whose only previous writing experience was a short film (she later went on to write a Zac Efron bomb). There are just a lot of bad decisions going on behind the scenes.”

^ Lol, it sure does show.

To be honest I'm doubting I can go the full fifteen episodes on this.

The Telltale Walking Dead video games are much better written (and acted) than this.

They should have got the writers from that to write a spin-off show.

So it's true what they say about AMC then, they really are a bunch of tight bastards.

Hiring someone who's never written a script in English before??? WTF?! That's just mental!

Ep5.

Hostage exchange with out guns? Really? These People are meant to be hard ass pirates, and its Madison who brings the gun, Not that she used it to help her husband, And What happened to the great sniper, he could have taken them from the Abigail.

Spoiler
Alex is in more episodes, so she's a bad guy and chases them now?? Or joins them?

Meh really didn't care what happened to any body.

The only good bit was the way they got back at wots his name. (can't even be bothered to care what he was called).

Would really love the pregnant one to die horribly though.

Yes that's the reason why I wanted her to die. You don't take a person's meat.

One walker! That is all I got this episode. One!
And yes, I am watching this for the gore and zombies.

Tv series with good people and bad people have been done to death, I want zombies.

It is not supposed to be about the infected, its from the angle of the people, and their mistakes and weaknesses.

Boy have this lot got a lot of weaknesses, it's mainly in the acting stakes. This show gets more uninteresting every week but you have to keep watching in case it improves one day, it has yet to IMO.

The sacks over the heads during the prisoner exchange – seriously. What, were we supposed to believe that they were following established etiquette of the pirate trade and not notice that it was just a sh@t devise to explain why yer man wouldn’t question why his brother had a sack over his head? – cuz you know Travis has one too.

I think that this series is collapsing now.

The last episode seemed like some sort of low budget straight to video action thriller film. The only zombie was the bad guy's brother who turned.
In fact the story itself has hardly anything to do with zombies now. We know it's all kicking off in the world, but the characters we're focusing on very rarely mention the zombie problem.

But the show is about zombies and the characters don't even talk about the problem that's affecting the world.
In recent episodes there may be one or two zombies they just kill for a bit of action, but they don't even talk about the wider problem in the world.
In fact the story that this show wants to tell doesn't even require zombies. It could be any other external problem which contains them in the boat and forces them to travel to Mexico.

Of course it is about the zombies. Without them, there is just another drama.
I would love to watch people's mistakes and weaknesses in dealing with walkers, not dealing with other humans.

I like the survival aspect of this, how to get food, how to get shelter, medicines, water, heat. However, this show is not about that, it is only about how to deal with other people.

Why on earth did Jack think that he could get Alicia to stay? She has her mother, brother and other family at Abigail. And Jack knew that.

Either he was an idiot, or he presumed that Alicia was.

They have met walkers, they got scared, if you had the chance to stay on a boat, rather than walk around dodging walkers, wouldn't you take the chance?

The idea of the program is to show what the early people did when the outbreak happened, by the looks of things, people tried to get to safe places, like boats!!

Not that safe at all considering what has happened to them so far.
