Cause like me, you're an optimist. You keep hoping it gets better.

Spoiler
But it won't.

Funny but true. It helps to pass time until the main show comes back.

Easy. Just have half of the episodes with them fannying about on a boat.

As with most things in this series, its just been rushed and/or brushed over.”

I think the doctor at the hospital told her. You will remember that she had a nail gun that she used after patients had died. I think she used in on Daniel's wife after she died. And, I may be wrong, but I am sure she went round all the patients that were left once she knew they would not be rescued.

Yes, that is true. But were they that bad in the early days? Actually, now that I think about it they were that bad. Daryl's brother lost his hand. Andrea's sister was killed. Carol's husband and daughter. Then nearly everyone at the farm. Only Maggie and her sister and dad were left.

I actually like Nick, and to a less degree, Strand.

The core group have never been that moral. Sentencing everyone in that town to death TWICE OVER. I'm pretty sure there were meant to be hundreds of people there, not dozens. Leaving those dozens of people in those cages. They screw over those people at the islet after convincing the mother her childen weren't safe and that guy was crazy...even though it was obvious he'd got the pills as a last resort if they got trapped with no escape so the kids could die peacefully rather than by a bullet or by walker. A logical, sensible and sane solution. Eaten to death by walkers or safely going to sleep (as a LAST RESORT), what would you choose for your kids? They were certainly safer on the iset than the boat...which our "heroes" knew was being targetted by murderers and they had no real destination, or trust that Strand would let them in whatever safe place he takes them to.

I don't blame Alicia about the pirate group (turns out it wasn't her fault anyway) because it was eight or nine days later. Would you expect people to insantly turn like that? They even talk like they've been at it ages...even though it's been like two weeks. I felt like the writer forgot how long the apocalypse had been going for. I think that group we met was maybe just a subgroup of a larger group operating at the docks...maybe?

despite Rick in TWD actually confirming that is the case? the walking dead are the people who are still alive. its not that hard a concept to understand

I hope the walkers get all of them, they are such an unlikeable bunch.

This just gets worse and worse ... after building up the whole 'how will we get past the huge flotilla blockading the naval border' plot, they deal with the whole thing offscreen and our heroes are forced to make landfall (not shown) and are apparently able to make their way down the coast to the village where the compound is (not shown either).

It's so disjointed and lacking in consistency.

Haha, I said the same to the missus on that one.

There were about half a dozen boats, then heard a brief a shootout, and next thing our heroes yacht just sails on past the remaining boats with no further resistance, and then they appear to be well inland??!!

Chris has to go, like... sick of seeing his stroppy face... hopefully he gets careless and a hurd of mexican walkers get him for a emo feast.

Don't really mind Nick - though for someone who was a junkie about a fortnight earlier (in the timeline), he seems quite sorted. And. did he have the old mans jacket on again last night (from the hospital)??

Chris, yeah, absolutely. So sick of his psycho emo act. Nick, while I don't like him too much at least has the potential for growth. Just wish he'd stop trying so hard to be all edgy and stuff. I was busy tidying while this was on, so I didn't catch most of it. But, I feel like I seen enough to say I watched that episode and can safely move on to the next.

I got the impression they were trying to say the walkers were still alive? Might have have misheard though. I just hope they don't try and scientifically explain walkers. Cause that's just lame.

It was a copy of the Farm from TWD but without a Beth type character singing.

This time a mad religious Mexican woman keeping walkers because she believes they are really people still.

Thanks, pretty much missed that entirely. Probably for the best though, all things considered.

You know a show is bad when mid-season the last post was 3 days ago!

Only just watched the latest episode after wondering if I should bother. More disappointment really. I thought the big mystery about Mexico would be revealed as some sort of citadel with fully functioning everything. Instead it's just some bog standard allotment with a wall round it like any other you could find anywhere else out in those parts. The whole journey has been a waste of time for everyone other than Strand. Back to the boat!

I thought it was going to be some Drug-lord's heavily guarded & armed walled compound. Figured Strand's secret was Coke smuggling and there was the possibility of the bad guys being the heroes of the hour. I gave the writers too much credit, obviously.

Surely the believable way for the group to react when finding out that Strand's big plan was to get them to this little villa would be "What? Is this is it?. Are you shitting us? You got our hopes up by making out that this place you want to take us to in Mexico is the answer to all our problems....and this is it?"

A dead Dougray Scott whose character has been completely wasted, and some mad woman who keeps zombies as pets? This is the salvation they got their hopes up for and nobody is acting even a little confused or angry that Strand has pissed them about just for this?

Rick said that, yes. He said We are the walking dead. in series five.

I believe the ones who are dead and walking, are the walking dead.
So, there is no need to be patronizing.

It doesn't matter that you believe it to be the walkers, the fact is The Walking Dead are the humans.

Perhaps it would help to clarify that 'walking dead' and many similar variations, are expressions in the English language to describe the 'doomed' (certain to die soon).
'Dead man walking' for example, is used to describe someone who has had a credible death threat or terminal diagnosis. The 'walking dead' is typically applied to a group whose struggle for survival is seen as hopeless. The show's title is a two-way play on this expression.

Intellectualizing a concept hardly makes it factual. If people see dead people walking around, then calling those dead people "the walking dead" is pretty accurate.

You don't understand, it has been explained both in the comic and in the show, and outside by creators that The Walking Dead the title refers to is actually about the people. That makes it fact.
