I get the best of both worlds with this.

Astrud Gilberto & Stan Getz.

Ah - a cool, breezy smooth song from the past - so lovely.

Not so much Spanish music but I'm currently loving some jazz music influenced by Spain

I'm a bit vague as to the history of it because I'm still new to jazz, but around 1960 some of the big jazz stars appears to have 'discovered' Spain......presumably at the time it appeared as an exotic country similar to when opera composers discovered it a century earlier

Here's a track from Miles Davis - Flamenco Sketches

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ez-Kefu4vvU

and one from John Coltrane - Olé

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Z5cRYd1Vr4

I can play these all day on a loop..........

One of my faces that had a lot of play in Spain is this one: http://youtu.be/PWS7mNb0ZpA

It's by Georgina, and the song translates as superwoman.

Here are two spirited gypsy flamenco guitarists - rough and ready and how I remember flamenco in Granada. Unfortunately a lot of the tourists are more interested in the view.

This isn't Latin, but she can make a Bob Marley song sound so sexy.

Spanish/Latin music is a genre I've always been interested in checking out more of as what I've heard of it I've liked. it's great music for the summer. I'd love to have done Spanish at school as it seems like a fun language to learn, but my school only offered French and German. Some day I'll take it up 🇪🇸

I'm an admirer of Latin music despite having no idea what they're talking about, but it's fun checking out the English lyrics afterwards. Some of my favourites are Alejandro Sanz, Shakira and Nicky Jam.

I have to say my favourite Spanish music would be Rodrigo's Guitar Concerto, amongst the best classical music of the 20th Century...the adagio http://youtu.be/sZyZBS4INuc

And one of my favourite pieces of music of all time, as my dad always said requested by the Emperor Maximilian to be played at his execution, La Paloma http://youtu.be/0PaBpeOqPSg

Or Albeniz's Tango http://youtu.be/tDdjTgvBHo0
