The Bad Guys (Marvel & DC)
I haven't actually read a single comic in my life, though I do follow a number of series, and enjoy most of the films. With the upcoming films though, and taking into account some of the existing films, I'm curious on something; do the bad guys ever fight each other?
Might seem a stupid question, but usually it's a team of good guys fighting a single bad guy, such as the example of the Avengers fighting Loki (and his army) or Ultron (and his army) or a group of good guys fighting a group of bad guys (has happened in the X-Men films lately). Good guys usually have one goal; defeat the bad guy(s) and restore order. Bad guys usually have very specific goals, that's if their goals don't involve getting rid of the good guys first, in which case temporary alliances etc Obviously there's that slight issue with rights at the moment between various material, but for the sake of this discussion, lets take Thanos and Apocalypse. Have these two ever met in the comics? Have they ever fought? Has General Zod ever had an encounter with the Reverse Flash? Has Ra Al Ghul ever been involved with the Joker? Has Ultron ever encountered Venom? An endless list of potential fights here, I'm sure, but yeah, I'm curious... |

Well... Suicide Squad would be the classic example.

You've asked a lot of questions there.
Marvel and DC have their own paper universe, that are incrediblily intricate and have be build over thousands of comics for years. The marvel movies have only touched upon the 'interconnectivity'. And dc's universe (or multiverse, also known as 'multiple earths.) Is even more complicated. Dizzying!y so. But its safe to say that most the companies characters have met one another at least once. I don't recall any of the meetings you mention. But its safe to say that they've all happened at least once. In fact, there have also been intercompany 'crossovers' too. In fact 1996's 'marvel vs DC' finished with a slew of 'amalgam comics', set in a world where the two companies hero's where blended. Super soldier (superman + captain america) Bruce Wayne: agent of shield, JLX (justice league + x men) ect... |

However, other bad guys have met and, no, they don't always get on. I think you see more of it in stuff involving The Hood, Punisher, maybe on a cosmic scale with the Annihilation series a few years back and the outcome of that, the lost Summers boy taking over the Shiar Empire etc etc... Green Goblin vs Hobgoblin is another that springs to mind and rolls on to Doc Ock vs any bad guy he plans on using or who gets in his way, especially when he was Superior Spider-man though that may not necessarily count... I can't remember the details of every villain meet up and scrap, I've been doing this too long, but basically, yes, it happens. |

Back in 2007-2008 DC published a limited series called Salvation Run which involved a lot of their villains having been captured and transported to a faraway planet where they soon spit into factions led by Lex Luthor and The Joker
