just seen the first yellow vardy. no way should he have been booked there. i think it would've stayed 1 - 0 had he stayed on.

I thought the ref had a good game right up until the last couple of minutes. And even then the 2 decisions that he got wrong at the end evened themselves out.

Listening to Thierry Henry's analysis and wastching all the slow-mo, I still can't make my mind up. Both Vardy's yellow cards looked harsh to me. Same with the penalties, they both looked a bit soft to me. I guess a draw was a fair result, but the referee didn't exactly cover himself in glory.

Yellow for his dive was a correct decision. West Ham's pen was correct. Leicester's penalty was harsh as it was a shoulder barge by Carroll. The last decision was made trying to even things up which annoys me the most about referees these days. |

I long ago gave up expecting competence and certainly not consistency from football officials. The most I hope for these days is the result is not fatally determined by their errors.

Bear in mind Leicester know right now Vardy is gone so it gives them a full week to prepare without him. Would be far worse him getting injured in training or early minutes of next week's match
They'll surely have too much for Swansea, regardless |

"Lucky" Leicester would've meant a penalty instead of a red for Vardy.
"Lucky" Leicester is the early West Ham chance bouncing off both posts and into Schmeichel's arms. Atrocious refereeing on display by Jonathan Moss. |

Hopefully Moss will be officiating in League One next week after that performance.
Utterly wretched decision making from him. Neither penalties were penalties, while the neck high rugby tackle on Huth in the box was stonewall and Moss refused to give it. Vardy decision I'm not sure about after multiple viewings. Probably a dive, but how Moss can accurately judge that from one viewing in real time, I don't know. He could've just not given anything and taken no action, but he seemed itching to send Vardy off. Anywhere else on the pitch and that contact would be given as a foul on Vardy. He's allowed to move sideways. Players have been "buying" fouls for years. I don't agree with the practice, but with the modern rules being what they are, contact from behind without winning the ball is a foul. I don't agree with that either. |

I agree it would be great to have more consistency from referees but it's not going to happen whilst players continue to dive, simulate and feign injury very 5 minutes. The refs get one view of each incident and have to make a split second decision. They do not always have an u restricted view and it may look different from the angle they seem it from. Don't get me wrong they do make some howlers but players need to get their houses in order.

I had forgotten West Ham had a huge penalty claim before the Vardy goal
All in all I think Leicester will take that draw and run very, very fast |

Moss was completely incompetent and his game management was poor.
Apart from the two he gave he missed three stonewall penalties - two for West Ham and one for Leicester. His first booking of Vardy was suspect. Reid deserved a second yellow for his deliberate body check and that was just after he sent Vardy off. I remember the good old days when competent refs such as Colina would have just glared at Vardy and would have stopped the diving by not giving penalties for that. Bit better than this sad direction to give yellows for anything remotely resembling a dive. |

I don't agree with that either. i said earlier that vardy has won many penalties like that before. i've never seen him been booked for that. definitely something going on with that ref today. it wasn't either imo no yellow or pen. |

The players will stop diving if they know they will get nothing for it. |

So give nothing unless they are certain it is a definite penalty.
The players will stop diving if they know they will get nothing for it. Every game has all manner of cheating involved, and the days when we thought they'd stop that type of thing if they didn't get something from it has long gone. |

I thought it was a tough call with a second yellow but in modern football we see cards handed out for minor incidents. If I was the ref I'd have called Vardy a t*sser and let them get it on with the game. Sadly with bad referees they can't stop being the idiot in the centre circle. Anyway it spices up the league with the run into the finish. |

Yes, yes I know it's Twitter and pinch of salt is certainly required but some of the knee jerk reactions are comical.
People claiming Leicester could suddenly go on and lose all their matches now and that they have no hope without Vardy. Yes because they're not exactly playing an average team who are on the beach or anything... Really reminds me of when they drew with WBA a few weeks back, their "bubble was burst" apparently. They ended up actually extending their lead with that result after that round of matches and never looked back ![]() they're still very strong favourites |

I still wouldn't be shocked to see Arsenal finish 2nd tbh. They have a pisstake run-in bar City away, who may still have Euro commitments and who haven't been beating other top sides
With the league gone they have no pressure and that's when they're at their best |

The away games look tough but they DID win at both Tottenham and Man City. The home games look easy but Swansea won at Arsenal and game from two down to draw at Stoke. They were also trounced by Newcastle yesterday and, as they've now reached the 40 point target, they might be on the beach now. Everton have only lost twice on their travels in the premier league this season, but their current form is a bit poor. They haven't won in the league since the start of March and that was against Aston Villa. We wait to see how Leicester respond to today but I'm still not certain they won't bottle it. |

"bottle" is the most misused and overused term in sport nowadays |
