Spurs looked very assured in that half but 1-0 is obviously a dangerous scoreline.

Surprise no one seems to mention Spurs winning the league next season if they don't do it this.

To me they have the best squad in the league by miles and as long as they don't lose Kane and can get one more striker in they should be the team to beat irrespective of what the usual suspects do

Id have them second favourites behind City (as of now)

Yes, I think Stoke will feel fortunate to still be in the game as Spurs were far superior. I don't expect Stoke to play so limply in attack in the second half.

Another wasted Spurs chance, this time by Alli. How often do we see teams punished for squandering chances?

Spurs denied a clear penalty by the referee ignoring wrestling in the penalty area - this area has become farcical in the way it is being officiated.

I think maybe Chelsea and Man City still have the best squads in the league but if Tottenham buy some really top players for next season then yes they will have the best squad

I would also have United in the mix as long as Van Gaal is sent packing and Liverpool with Klopp at the helm won't be far from the top either. IOW, I think it is going to be a very competitive league next season.

Alli slots in Spurs second and the score now resembles a little better what I see as a huge gulf in class between the two teams.

What a ball from Christian Eriksen to put Alli clean through.

Man city is among the oldest in the league age wise they need a lot of new players.

Chelsea squad needs gutted from top to bottom

Quality goal there

I doubt Mark Hughes will be showing a recording of this match as a demonstration of his grasp of tactics. As good as Spurs have been, and they have been very good, Stoke have been dire, almost Villaresque bad.

Stoke have been dreadful. Like Chelsea over the weekend, they are on their holidays.

This league title chase is not over by a long shot.
Nope, and Spurs will be hoping it'll come to GD.

Still maintain Leicester need to drop points at home to swansea to bring Spurs properly back in it

Spurs have absolutely no margin for error, while Leicester can fail to win two matches out of their last 3 with a win Sunday

Yes but Tottenham would love to have Aguero, Silva or a De Bruyne or a Diego Costa, Hazard or a Fabregas from Chelsea
