Not even Aston Villa have been as bad as Everton tonight.
Bring in Marcelo Bielsa. He will sort them out.

Shambolic and diabolical performance tonight

Please Mr. Moshiri, give that fraud of a manager his P45 tonight and let Big Dunc just see out this season

Stones poor again. Needs to learn defending. Looking good on the ball is wearing a bit thin.

Next Rio Ferdinand etc. etc.

Is right - when we got our 3rd goal he gave the ball away (altho yes I know Lucas made a good interception) but in the analysis Stones' role was totally overlooked - as seems to always happen as the media keep telling us how great he is - and overall he was poor defensively again as you rightly say.

Lukaku invisible yet again.

Martinez must be the next manager to go, even if the unlikely happens and Everton win the cup...his stats are dire, he lives in a world of delusion...the board must be able to see that, a 26% win percentage this year.

I think the chances of an unusual double are becoming stronger

Moyes back to Everton and Lennon back to Celtic

Hope not...with new owners and a bit of money, the should be looking to move forward, not look back...Moyes would offer stability but that will be about it. I would rather them show ambition even if it failed.

Looks like Chelsea dodged a bullet with stones.

Surprised more credit is not being given to Liverpool's performance. They have hit four goals in each of their last three home games (against Stoke, Borussia and Everton). Has any other premier league team done the same this season? Perhaps something special really is stirring at Anfield.

Few neutrals on here will praise Liverpool, not long ago someone on here posted that Everton are a "great side" while Liverpool were being called average, well the "average side" are currently 13 points in front of the "great side" and can't be overtaken by them.

Along with Tottenham, Liverpool are playing the best football in the league at the minute

I'd expect Klopp to buy well over the summer, in what looks like it'll be a transition season for the "top" teams

You couldn't rule them out going on a title charge. He seems to have injected great spirit into what is a relatively average group at the moment. Wait till he signs his own players

I find Liverpool more likeable now than I have in a while, I don't know how much of that is Klopp but they're a lot more fun to watch generally. Nice that Firminio's doing well despite being called a busted flush a week into the season somewhere here.

Remember at the time all the press lauding Martinez for turning Chelsea's huge offer down. How imperative it was that Stones needed to stay with a Manager that would nurture his talent....

If they weren't called "Liverpool FC" all the neutrals would be all over them I feel
Look at the bandwagon Spurs are now generating for playing "great football" (even if 99% neutrals still want to see Leicester win it, but there's been very little general begrudgery towards Tottenham - bar rival fans - and everyone would be willing them on any other year)

I can see the benefit of playing for Martinez if you're a defender, you're guaranteed to be tested like nowhere else week in week out.

This is all down to the fact that there are (mercifully) very few true 'neutrals', who regularly watch football.

Liverpool are disliked by a large percentage of fans because they are historically successful, and have a lot of fans, many of whom will have been attracted by that success. Same goes for all of the 'big' teams.

Leicester get a lot of goodwill because they've never really been on that radar. If their owners suddenly pumped in a tonne of money, and they won the league a few times, there'd suddenly be a swathe of 'new' Leicester fans piping up, and they'd be disliked fairly quickly. Look at Chelsea as an example.

You only have to look at the love in between the media and Klopp to see that they are already all over them.

They love him and in turn have started to gush over Liverpool once more, it is almost getting back to the Gerrard testimonial season levels of love.

Yes they have been playing some wonderful football, and no-one can say otherwise, so I think it has turned somewhat since Rodgers was last there.

Klopp is incredibly likeable though, I find his enthusiasm very infectious

That's my point, if Liverpool didn't have such a big history or tradition I'd imagine they'd be getting much more plaudits. Similarly, I don't ever expect Man United or at this rate Chelsea to ever be appreciated by the majority of neutrals tbh

Even when we were in our pomp, we never really got the neutrals love I don't think, there was always something to supposedly dislike about us.

Changing tack if I may for a slight moment, who would people here say holds the transfer record, Neymar or Bale?

I have heard it be said that both are by different people before, so who do people here think has the record?

Neymar cost just over £70m. It's not a question of who thinks what.
