Not conceding an away goal is the good part.

It will only count for something if they can do away from home what they couldnt do at home though.

Obviously, I think we'll soak up pressure and try to hit on the counter. The longer it stays 0-0 the more worried RM will become. Also looks like Ronaldo isn't going to make it so that's a big boost for us.

Well counter attack is where man city do well, I hope they can do it but being a neutral I'm a little bit more pessimistic. than you

So a thirty day suspension for Sakho, not really that much of a punishment, more a slap on the wrist, what was the difference between what he did and what Kolo did, who I think got a much longer suspension for something similar??

True of any second leg of almost any tie, but while Real Madrid ought to be favourites I don't buy the idea that Man City are doomed at all. You'd be hard-pressed to find a Champions League semi-finalist in any year who aren't capable of nicking an away goal against whoever is still in the competition.

It's a provisional suspension, they're still investigating.

True, I do have a niggling feeling about City in this competition similar to with Chelsea in 2012

That said I don't think this City side is as gritty as that Chelsea one to dig out a result. I think an early Madrid goal the next day and already it will look very ominous. If City can get to HT at 0-0 then Madrid may start feeling unsure though

ander herrera says man u won't be doing Leicester any favours when they meet. Since when does Leicester need favours from man u. Such arrogance for a club that's struggling to finish in 4th.

He's saying that they want to win the match, not that Leicester are in need of help.

United are being vastly overrated coming into this game, in the context of the season. The general narrative seems to be Leicester will do well to get a point

I think it stems from the fact that most subconsciously view United as league challengers every year while we are conditioned to view teams like leicester as relegation fodder

Leicester however have won 8 of their last 10 matches, are 17 points ahead of United and haven't lost since a dubious match v Arsenal in February- before that in 2015

United have dropped points at home to teams like Norwich and Sunderland this season. They've played the worst football in the club's Premier League history and have a clueless spoofer in charge. They haven't played any sort of animal like leicester who on the basis of this season fight ten times harder for every ball than this group of overpriced and overrated United players (for the most part)

I'd be surprised if United win this to be honest. They got a good hiding against Tottenham a few weeks back and I could very well envisage the same happening here.

It reminds me of United/Pool in 2014. United playing cack but because they were "United" would apparently present all sorts of problems for the far hungrier and better Liverpool side. It ended up being a very flattering 3-0 defeat for United

Just seen the clip. I think it was Jim Whyte that said ander said man u won't be doing Leicester favours when in fact he never said anything like that.

Apart from Leicester of course. Who they drew with, away from home.

A lot earlier in the season though. They're riding on a complete different form of momentum now. It might be the same team name but they're a much different side now- even if they were in great form then too

Back then all it was about could Vardy get the record, they had no sort of league winning momentum

The most similar team they've played than this Leicester one in terms of hunger and will to win would be Liverpool (in EL) and Spurs, both which they were soundly beaten in.

Yeah good lad, completely ignore the context

Anyone with a brain knows Leicester are a complete different proposition now than back in November. Vardy and Mahrez were beating guys on their own back then, but they're a much more all-round unit now

Roll on Sunday, winning the league at OT will be bliss against a side who spent hundreds of millions to finish 5th!!!

To be fair, United have been much better since LVG lucked out with Rashford and have been relatively sound defensively on the whole (their problem is scoring goals). Without Vardy's threat behind, I think it'll be cagier. Set pieces could decide this one.

We didn't drop points to Sunderland it was Southampton which was a 1-0 defeat.

The worst football in premier league history? Ok it's not been great but what a load of cobblers!

Pick yourself up from the floor now, I presume you fell over with laughter after writing this?

Martinez wants everton fans to get behind him. Can't see that happening and you can't blame them. I've never rated him and not really sure why everton chose him especially since he'd just relegated Wigan at the time. They should of stuck with Moyes.

Really, why what year did United play worse football in since 93?

2013/14 is arguable but they pretty much won the league or finished second every other year, no?

I wish they would have fought much harder to hold onto Moyes.

Oooh no! The best fun most fans had was Moyes at United - they had to go through that, most other teams have!
