Man City are best at beating teams that they are entitled to beat.

That doesn;t rely on counter-attacking.

Arsenal and Tottenham are good counter-attacking sides

Roll on Sunday, winning the league at OT will be bliss against a side who spent hundreds of millions to finish 5th!!!”

Leicester were playing better in NOvember than they have done for the most part recently (Swansea game excepted)

We've had plenty of dull games under Fergie. The difference is that we generally won them.

2013/2014 was actually quite entertaining in a white knuckle ride kind of way. So many games where we had to claw our way back after being behind. Defending was shocking at times.

As for Van Gaal being a spoofer, I would be happy to see him gone at the end of the season but I'd give him more respect than call him that.

Disagree they weren't as gritty or resilient. Teams are approaching them completely differently since Christmas than before

Like by mentioning the Swansea game you just pretty much proved the point they actually did no more in that match than recent weeks just they were up against awful opposition. Far more to a title winning campaign than scoring as many goals as you can tho it helps!

City on paper are "entitled" to beat about 90% of teams they play

They have the players to be very effective at counter attacking

Nobody in the PL am irish so don't identify with any English team , even if most people here glory hunt and follow utd and pool. I really don't get how people do that but each to their own

People support who they support for their own reasons, I wouldn't call it gloryhunting unless they're the type to change clubs when things are going wrong or only support them through the good times. I'm from Liverpool, and support Liverpool, but I wouldn't view a Liverpool fan from London or Malaysia with any contempt provided they act like a proper fan. I wouldn't automatically view them as less of a Liverpool fan than me simply because they aren't from Liverpool. Assuming your post is about supporting your local club.

And as it happens Goodison is slightly closer to me than Anfield, though Melwood is closer to me than Finch Farm. So I don't know if that makes me a gloryhunter.

Of course they're gloryhunting (in the vast majority of cases) the majority i know have never actually been in Liverpool /manchester

If it wasn't glory hunting why isn't there a collection of Sheffield United and Swindon fans from other countries and other parts of uk

I mean when you actually sit down and think about it! Support for me is regularly attending games and having a proper affiliation and connection to the city/team

Yes many are supporting Liverpool because they're successful but if they're still supporting Liverpool during the bad times are they still gloryhunters? Many Irish support Liverpool and Man United bit it can simply be through family connections, maybe they're the team they first get to know from watching them on TV, as a kid they might see Liverpool in the Champions League and getting their interest that way. These fans spend money on their club, they're entitled be called fans. They don't need to attend games all the time, because of distance and money they won't be able to.

I mean I don't go the game that often, because of money and availability, it's hard to get tickets unless you're a season ticket holder and even then there are difficulties, and getting a season ticket at Liverpool is also difficult, not just financially. Am I a gloryhunter? Am I less of a fun? I do go to games when I can, mainly cup games since they're easier to get, but not regularly.

Watch the amount of Leicester shirts that appear all over after the weekend

Judging by his recent posts, I'd assume that poster already has his.

Well you're from Liverpool I assume you feel at least some connection to the team and place. But I've no idea anything about you so no clue how much of a fan you are

At the end of the day football teams are products and the most popular ones will always generate the most following. Everyone in Ireland follows their local gaa team and rugby team. If they put as much support into their soccer team the league wouldn't be as sub standard as it is.

Supporting a team because you saw them play well as a kid on telly is a bit odd when you really think about it! It's amazing no Irish people have family in Leicester or Birmingham !!

Supporting a club will mean different things to different people but when I compare it to the support I give connacht rugby and my local gaa team I cannot seriously claim to "support" a team hundreds of miles away who I have no direct affiliation to

Absolutely I'm a die hard Leicester fan at the minute! Who can't relate to such an underdog story??

However I won't give a shiny shit about them when they fall down the table! I'm in love with the story not the club!

Well I can't speak for fans who aren't local, but I don't like to belittle them or think less of them or their support for their club. If a fan is an actual fan, is loyal, doesn't jump ship or goes to support another club then they can be from wherever they want or have whatever reasons they have for supporting the club.

I have to say I agree with The Munch on this one.
There are loads of people From all over the world who support Liverpool who are in their mid to late 30s because they were the dominant team in the late 70s and 80s. They were on TV the most and on the news due to them winning.
When they were 7 or 8 years old, these were the players they knew with only one game on per week... If they didn't watch the local news, then if you lived in Hull or Swindon or somewhere, then still Liverpool would have had more exposure than their local club.

Those people just as passionate about Liverpool today as many local fans.

It would be great for,Leicester if they pick up more fans nationally and internationally, young kids who have tuned into the premier league this season for the first time and support them from now on.

I am Leicester this season a well!

i've always seen it as supporting or following...

going to games, having an affiliation with that club through the town, city or family is a supporter...

but someone who doesn't have any of those affiliations, who has never been to a game, who just watches from afar is a follower...

and both are fine in my book.

This Liverpool game is an absolutely brutal watch but I assume they would take a nil nil

Villarreal are a bit like Atletico Madrid but with a bit less quality?

Very solid defensive record so Liverpool might find it tough to break through.

Silly defending at the end there.

Macca and Owen need to stop underestimating Villarreal.

Mignolet, nice defending, sticking your hands up appealing for offside when you should be trying the stop the ball from going into the back of your net.

I still expect pool to go through though

I'm not sure this time I think they might be hard to break down and could get one on the break

Bizarre by Klopp, he must have been playing for the draw. I still don't think that warrants our best striker not starting and playing. Anyway I trust Klopp and think we will win comfortably at Anfield. Dissapointed though because I think they were there for the taking.
