Well I would say elbows should cover more than just the standard violent conduct 3 game ban. I said at the time when Suarez bit Ivanovic that given a choice out of that or an elbow to the face I would take the nibble everytime.

Will Huth be allowed onto the pitch to lift the trophy and receive his medal ?
ETA and will he be allowed to wear the kit for the team photos of it ? |

Biting another player is off the scale scumbag behaviour,as is gobbing on someone.

I suppose the danger they might face is if they gave player A 4 games for a certain thing, and player B 3 games for something else. If player C then does something that falls between the what player A and B did, with some similar elements to both then what do they do? Might cause controversey and appeals whichever way they went when. In many ways it's easier to just give the same bog standard 3 match ban nearly all the time with the odd rare exception. Still, think it could be worth trying. |

Not disputing that but as I said given a choice I think an elbow to the face does a lot more damage.

How have you come to the conclusion that they think they were? I'd be surprised if they did.
A 3 game ban is the standard for violent conduct and that covers a fairly wide spectrum of things. It's rare for it to be anything but that. Can remember Ben Thatcher, Suarez and now possibly Demebele getting more, and I think a Chelsea player in the last year or two successfully argued one down to 2 games which migh've been a first, but other than that they're almost always for 3. Edit: The Chelsea one was Matic against Burnley from last season. https://youtu.be/HrxgMHp9uco?t=32s |

Seems both Fellaini and Huth have been banned for three games for elbowing and hair pulling.

"Liverpool as a club have an extraordinary squad of footballers when you consider Benteke cost the whole turnover as Villarreal as a club," said Villarreal manager Marcelino
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36126028 Didn't realise there was such a gap between the sides. |

United are fortunate that the three match ban will be cover the last three of this season. While with regards to the champions huths ban will be carried over to next season. If the community shield is a competitive game surely that would be the third game and not the opening league match. Is that fair

Lovren saved Liverpool there, great tackle.
Couple of very smart testing balls from Milner. Good start to this half. |

I'll throw in 2-1, just to cover the options
![]() Really enjoying seeing Milner playing with such freedom, reminds me of when he was a teenager for Leeds |

Hope someone scores soon as I do not want extra time.
I know I can just switch it off but I feel I have to see it through. |

Nicely done Sturridge.
Still need to keep that clean sheet, though. |

Well, that came from nothing, very fortunate deflection but Sturridge did what he is employed to do. Guarantee Villarreal will not give a feeble City like performance when needing just one away goal.
Ruiz two dumb yellows. Game surely over. Villarreal down to ten men including a plonker for a goalie. How many good passes has Milner made? Best I have seen from him for quite a while.. |

He will end up starting for England in the euros as one of the old faithful
3-0 and a man down, no way back from there. |
