If I was a Liverpool fan I think I would barely be able to contain myself anticipating/hoping what is to come with Klopp. We will learn so much from who comes and goes this summer at Anfield.

If they were to win the Europa he would be able to attract a much better quality of player

It looks like the English players that play for Liverpool, will be the last to join the England squad for the Euros coming up

What happens if Liverpool win this and say city or arsenal finish 4th guess they wouldn't get in the CL?

England can have a maximum of 5 spots, so the 4th placed team would still qualify for the CL.

Klopp and the Champions League with the sounds of Anfield reverberating - what a magnet that would be for many.

As a neutral I think that's going to be absolutely fascinating to observe, especially if they hopefully end up winning the Europa and getting CL qualification.

What happens if Liverpool finish fifth and win the Europa league. Does the league get an extra Europa league spot

No, it seems. This happened last season when Sevilla won the EL and finished 5th in La Liga. Their EL spot was vacated and Spain did not get an extra place.

Pleased for Liverpool actually. Hopefully they can go on and lift the trophy and qualify for the Champions League proper.
Kudos to you Mr Watkins - ditto for Spurs to qualify for the CL proper too. Both teams, on their day, play football that deserves such a stage. Makes you wonder why City's players and crowd were so frustratingly timid in their semi.

Good start for Klopp in his first season with Liverpool - two finals.

Great result for Liverpool, and for the co-efficient, they are certainly on the up under Klopp, makes me that bit more scared for next season if we stick with LvG.

Seville's record in the Europa League is crazy.

It really is remarkable.

Surely it should now be renamed the Sevilla Trophy?!

How they keep on winning it, (or in this case getting to the final), is unbelievable!

I don't know how true this is, but it would be a move somewhat out of the blue-

Sergio Aguero said he's staying at Man City until they win the Champions League.

Given how injury-prone he is already, I'm not sure his body will be able to handle it when he's in his 50s or 60s...

I have the impression that Aguero best spot is City, I'm not sure he would have the same impact back in Spain now

Careful now, you don't want to be calling the Chinese league a retirement league.

Yes, at the end of his contract or before he retires or something.

Dembele's been suspended for 6 games for the eye-gouging.

Thought it would be that. Eye gouging is a nasty thing to do. He's no doubt gonna appeal so when it fails increase it to 10. This needs to be stamped out. I wonder what punishment the clubs will receive? Personally I'd deduct points. This is another thing the FA needs to stamp out. If teams are found guilty of incidents like that then points deductions will make them think twice or at least it should do.
