Six games was less than I thought that he would get, but it is still a long enough period of time so that it might put others off.

Six is about right. It's a nasty thing to do, even if it is towards Costa. There is no place for such actions in the game.
It's a shame we dont start bans for diving and simulation, as well as penalty area wrestling. That would cut it all out within a short time. |

Six games is enough. It was a half hearted effort with his knuckle rather than the tips of his fingers after all.

I also don't think it was that bad to be fair , Costa is a drama queen who usually drops like he's been sniped from the stands yet he did even flinch . Also apparently Costa was nipping Dembele at the time so all limits off in my book .

It is totally irrelevant what Costa was doing, you simply cannot and should not do what he did.
Quote:
It wasn't knuckles, as stated, but started with open fingers as if he was trying to scratch him. Just check all the stills of the incident. Whether he caused an injury or Costa's reaction has no bearing on the matter.

Sad to hear the news of the death of Patrick Ekeng in Romania tonight. Collapsed on the pitch and died in hospital, he was only 26

Blimey.
Newcastle reject, and former Hull City loan player, Hatem Ben Arfa, is 'set to sign for Barcelona', on a free. I heard that he'd been doing well in France, but that's some redemption! |

![]() 26 is far too young to die, my sympathies go out to his friends and family. Quote:

Still a bit of shock if he does go to Barcelona, I don't quite know where he will fit in, but it will be a huge step up for him. |

He was linked with us a couple weeks ago. With his injury record and him possibly demanding high wages I'm not sure I'd take it but you could do worse for a free. And we have done worse.
![]() Liverpool are crying out for a small-ish, tricky, attacking midfielder. You've got virtually none of those. |

Very sad news.
May he rest in peace. Tragically it seems the medical help was basically non-existent on the pitch which is very worrying/sad. |

It makes you think back to Muamba in the Cup, and the terrific help and speedy help that he got to save his life.
This is very sad indeed. |

I've just seen the footage. It's shocking the lack of medical help. 2 men and that's it. Heartbreaking to watch.

FIFA should set a standard of care for all matches under its jurisdiction, so that things such as this tragic event do not happen, if they need to help financially to do so, well apparently they have a billion or so in the coffers, so put it to good use I say.
