The game will be an anti climax I can see Leicester just going through the motions here

He does come across as wanting to only manage as high up as possible for him (which is not a bad thing per say, just that in this case, he would be leaving them in a bit of a mess).”

Rafa has left them in no such mess, McClaren has left them in this mess. Had Rafa been installed earlier, I imagine they would've stayed up.

No idea how they will manage to focus on the game. I know I am not going to

Everton at 3/1 for the win looks tempting. Leicester will either be right up for it or be partied and shagged out.

I think he has probably done better than expected given what he walked in to, bit of an impossible job really.

I'd say the excitement is understandable, but then I have nothing to be bitter about.

You won't be having to worry about it for a long, long time.

In this instance, there is no such thing as going over the top!

A remarkable story deserves a remarkable celebration!

Not sure what you're getting at. Not sure I care. I'll leave you to swear at the telly.

If/when Rafa leaves, the club will be in a mess, blame that on who you want, but if he stays they will be in a mess as well, as there will be a huge rebuilding job needed there.

There is certainly no guarantee that they will come straight back up.

Agreed. Even though Sunderland's result today is likely to see Newcastle down, they've lost twice in 8 games under Rafa and are undefeated in the last 5, so it definitely suggests that he could have had a much bigger effect if he'd been brought in even a couple of months earlier. Chances are, they'd be mid-table now.

I don't know about them being mid-table, that is going a bit far, but he might have got them safe if he was brought in earlier.

He couldn't even beat Villa away.

Cant be blamed for their relegation then in that case.

So what's your point? Does one poor result mean that Rafa would have surely doomed Newcastle, regardless of the length of his tenure? The fight I saw when they clawed draws away to City and Liverpool, as well as the spirited wins against Palace and Swansea suggest to me that Rafa would have picked up results in fixtures where the McClaren team looked feeble and useless.

The club I was talking about more than him personally, Newcastle are in a mess no matter if they survive or go down.
