Has the England squad been leaked?

http://www.teamtalk.com/news/did-the...-england-squad

Surely Rose would be a better option than Shaw who is just coming back from injury..

Apart from that probably pretty much spot on.

Aaron Cresswell would be a better option than both of them.

Shaw should be no where near the squad until he has played some matches for us first and foremost.

I'd agree but then Wilshere is going and he has a chronic injury record..

^Wilshere shouldn't be going either.

Interesting, I was wondering if Sterling would retain his place, considering he appears to have slipped down the pecking order at City and seems to have gone backwards in terms of his overall play.

I agree, I cant believe he has been totally overlooked, if he played for tottenham he would have already been called up.

Yep, bang on.

But that's Roy Hodgson for you, he's weak.

Not even convinced that many of the new players will start still think the team will be mainly made of Liverpool, city, United and Arsenal players whether they have played much club football or not

Shaw, wilshere, lallana and milner should be no were near this tournament. Why not play rooney in midfield and give the defoe the other spot.

I'd have Milner in comfortably. Agree about the other three.

Why what does Milner bring to the side??

There's not many English players who can boast 5 goals and 11 assists in the league. That - and his industry and know-how - is what he brings to the side.

Oh, I'm sorry, he plays for Liverpool. Light bulb moment...

Every squad needs a couple of versatile players just in case. Milner is no world beater but he can do a job in one or two positions.

This season James Milner has 7 goals and 11 assists. He has experience, can play multiple positions, is consistent, never gives up, has a great cross on him, when he's not taking a corner, and can score from penalties. He's had a great season for a free player, and so on form he deserves to go. People talk about the likes of Mark Noble deserving to go because of the season they've had, well the same should apply to James Milner.

Lallana's been good since Klopp's come in. According to the link below he has 7 goals and 7 assists in the Premier League and Europa League. He's been underrated, including by Liverpool fans. His main problem is his end-product, doesn't score or assist enough but he's important to the way Liverpool play, he's very good on the ball. Klopp likes him, which has to mean something.

If used properly he'd do well in the Euros. Milner hasn't been the best for England but based on his form this season he'd deserve to go, and I'd like to see Lallana go, too.

I could answer that, but you wouldn't understand, as this post clearly demonstrates.

Shaw and Wilshere haven't proven their fitness or form.

Lallana and Milner have done both. Of course they should be in the squad on merit.

Arsenal have been poor this season but if they scrape 2nd it won't be because they deserve it, it will be because spurs threw it away in what is supposed to be their best season without silverware since the 60's. So if spurs throw it away they don't deserve it themselves because 2nd is on a plate for them.

This a strange one because the table shows even with a better goal difference their points tally is only a game better than this Arsenal bottling side with a manager that goes out of his way not to win the title when the resources are in place, Arsenal choose to stand still and only react when losing top 4 is in danger. Leicester absolutely destroyed the whole oil money myth Wenger used since 2007 as a reason why Arsenal can't compete with City and Chelsea.

I think next season will show if spurs are the real deal or is it another 2013/14 scenario like when Liverpool were killing teams off, looked the best team but fell right at the last hurdle and finished 2nd only to under perform in the following seasons.

This has been a good season by spurs standards but I think the real clue for spurs to gauge where they are (results not performance wise) in relation to a challenging City, man u or Chelsea team (when they get their act together) is spurs are just 2 points better off than Arsenal after game 37 who bottled the title in January, had 4 less points at this point last season and are never within touching distance of the usual champions in May but could still end up finishing above spurs in their best season. Arsenal have stood still again while Spurs have improved and looked the better team showing more grit but points tell the full story this season, spurs threw too many away from leading positions. Leicester's 10 point gap on 2nd reflects true champions and the usual 3 normally get similar or better points tally when champions.

City, Man utd, Chelsea and Liverpool will all reinforce, Arsenal just need a slight improvement to still be in the top 4 mix (which fans are fed up of). I think the table will have the usual top 6 next season. I just hope Leicester don't go away or feel intimidated when offers come in for their players and the richer teams starts splashing the cash.

I actually think Milner does add drive and energy to a team, he can also beat a man and is a good crosser of the ball.. He has a burst which can add forward momentum to a team, which is what England often need.

It has occurred to me from time to time this season that City have never fully compensated for the loss of Milner. He used to perform a vital link, when asked, between midfield and defence, reinforcing the defensive shield for City, an area where they have been, shall we say, not exactly without fault and more exposed than previous seasons when Milner was around to come on, often as a substitute, to shore up the defense in that way. (The obvious contrast for City is with Sterling, who also plays on the wing; indeed, they effectively swapped clubs) This of course is in addition to his attacking abilities, which over the years, I believe, have featured less prominently in his role for the teams he has been played for. He is a very different player from the gifted young Leeds winger who impressed with his ball control and maturity and brought him public attention, as with Rooney (who is just a few months older) by scoring a premier league goal before he was 17.

He can kick the ball hard and has played some matches recently, I assume that explains it.

Man United apparently unaware that it might be a bit busy around Upton Park tonight! Don't see why they have been given extra time when it's the second time they've got to a match too late this season, should have made them play on time.

(Not condoning the attacks on the coach obviously, that's a separate issue)

I suspect the coach being attacked has probably influenced the delayed kick off.

West Ham fans really are a set of prize f*ckwits.

United will take them to the cleaners on the pitch after that.
