Spain guaranteed to win BOTH the Europa League and Champions League for a third season in a row.

2014: CL - Real Madrid, EL - Sevilla
2015: CL - Barcelona, EL - Sevilla
2016: CL - Real Madrid/Atletico Madrid, EL - Sevilla

Pretty good achievement.

Comprehensive win in the end for Sevilla. Moreno will probably need therapy after that performance before he is in a fit state to play at a standard remotely acceptable again.

I don't know if he's anti-Liverpool all the time, but I do know this result is one half of what might be a very juicy betting payout for him.

Regardless, Sevilla really did the business tonight. Not at all in it in the first half and a goal down but came back like a train and rolled Liverpool over in the second.

All the pundits at half time we hailing Klopp as a genius, and about to give the easiest team talk of his career!

17 seconds into the second half, Klopp didnt know what to do. Awful subs and three goals later his team were a shambles. What he was doing?

Now he is arguing with the officials. Bad show all round.

Too good for the Europa, not quite good enough for the CL.

Can anyone recall if Sevilla were in it the year Chelsea won it?

Truly dreadful second 45 from Liverpool. That really was the ol' game of two halves.

Oh well, off to watch extra time in the League Two play-off semi, now.

Enjoyed that. Klopp is clearly a good manager but listening to stuff like he's another Shankly is just wrong. He's done nothing so far except lose finals.

Congratulations to Sevilla on winning what is quickly becoming their own trophy.

Thanks makosi I'm not anti Liverpool but I do think they can be pretty overrated at times.

BT can be guilty of this with most teams though

Commentarys begin with British team being amazing world beaters etc , foreign team is rubbish etc. Hargreaves is bad for this.

If the uk team are losing they always have to completely change tact.

On the whole it's been a better season in Europe but still a good bit short

Klopp is obviously a very good manager and great for the media but the overhype surrounding him isn't doing him or Liverpool any favours.

The problem is now how does he get the real better quality players signing with no Europe.

I suspect he doesn't and has to go for the better mid range ones

Although if they are again as likely about seventh eight around Xmas will he still be given leeway

I know who Everton should get as their next manager

Unai Emery

I suppose we've got to wait for some old bloke in a suit , to fumble around and hold onto the cup way too long before handing it over

I don't think the Europe thing is as big an issue as people make out. If they pay the wages they will attract the players.

The top players will want Champions League football, or at the very least the real prospect of it, if they are going to join a club not in it, and that is not something that Liverpool can say with any sense of realism.
