I can separate my club loyalties, and put them to one side, when needed to if I am talking about a general football topic, such as this one.

Yet ex-Liverpool manager Rodgers is wrong for taking the job in a one team league as it won't help hm get a job back in England whilst at the same time also wrong for not signing a longer deal to show his commitment to said team (although you have no idea who had the rolling contract idea) and despite it not helping him get a job back in England he has only taken it in the first place so he can use it as a stepping stone to a job back in England.

Ex-Liverpool manager Rodgers, surprisingly, can't really do anything right in your eyes.

I would have said the same things had for example ex-Manchester United manager David Moyes taken the job, it just so happens that in this case we are talking about an Ex-Liverpool manager.

I know, but he seems oblivious of this fact, it's gone way beyond the pale now.

I still maintain that any fan encroaching the field of play at any time should be tazered on sight.

I'd argue that the most biased poster on this board is a Chelsea fan, but you're not totally inaccurate...

At a guess because the £5 million a year payout figure is completely and totally wrong. If its like the business world then Liverpool would have already settled compensation in full by now with Rodgers. And the media don't get a lot right nowadays. Because it makes no sense at all otherwise, Celtics budget must mean they can't pay Rodgers even half that figure. So there's no way anyone would forego £3M-£4M just to get back to work

Fair point. Interesting how they manage to avoid one another.

I'm fully expecting the owners to remove the 'd' from the end of Watford soon...

Good appointment by Watford, there are some pretty darn good managers coming into the league next season (him, Conte, and Guardiola for example).

Who would have thought that Guardiola and LvG's final games for their current clubs would happen to be on the very same day!

Daily Mirror: "Moussa Sissoko is being targeted by Arsenal and could be the first player to leave Newcastle because of their relegation. The midfielder, made Newcastle skipper by Rafa Benitez, has been a long-term target for Arsene Wenger. Sissoko is likely to cost Arsenal £10 million. Benitez is reluctant to let him go and is continuing talks over a new deal, with an announcement expected on Tuesday.

I do actually yes, although it could from the frying pan and into the fire, if José is his replacement.

That would be a very good signing by Wenger, I would be surprised if Arsenal are the only club looking to secure his services, as he is one of their better players.

Yeah I think Sissoko is too good for the Championship- he belongs in the Prem.

Wenger obviously wants to get a fairly big signing in early so the fans don't get restless.
