I wonder if giggs will follow through with his threat to leave if José comes? I think giggs should stay and learn off José for 2 years and then leave and manage a club to get experience.

Klopp, Wenger, Conte, Guardiola, and Mourinho in the same league next season, prepare for fireworks!

Giggs needs to move on and prove himself imo.

Tremendous Premier League story this year with Leicester. What a story next year with Mourinho/Guardiola/Klopp/Wenger/Pochettino/Conte! Oh and Ranieri...................again!

Its just so alive!

The bitterness on here

By the way, I've just turned on the magical, mythical German Cup Final and notice it's 0-0 with 10 minutes or so left until penalties.

Surely some mistake?

It's not for him to dictate terms if you ask me. He's largely been an inanimate puppet on the touchline alongside LVG and he'd be lucky to be retained. Should go and prove himself somewhere to warrant this assumption he is somehow worthy of the United job in the future.

He's learnt under 2 great managers and yes one of them is LVG. Whatever people think of him, he's got vast amounts of experience that I'm sure giggs will have learnt a lot. If he stays with José then he'll learn even more which will serve him well in the future.

The biggest managers in the world having the greatest riches of any league in the world to potentially bring in the best players in the world.

A Sky or BT subscription is going to be very valuable next season.

(but don't tell them that)

So many interesting stories to tell, so many rivalries, and not just between clubs, José v Guardiola will keep the media at least entertained, and so will I imagine José v Klopp.

Then there is Mr "Dilly Ding, Dilly Dong"!

Quite a lot to look forward to wherever you want to look.

Your 4th manager in as many years.

Good luck with Jose, you have already seen his lack of class by the news leaking before your existing manager has had the decency of being sacked!

Is that the new United?

But they still won't Win any European trophys for Clubs based in England, I won't say English clubs as there is no such thing any more.

Giggs needs to stay for the furtherment of his career. Having an apprenticeship under Mourinho will be invaluable. Mourinho will probably want to bring in Faria so Giggs may fall further down the pecking order.

If he leaves he'll just become another Roy Keane.

Apparently LVG has already been informed but it never sits well with me when new managers are announced before current one has left. Thought same when man city did it.

Was it Juande Ramos at Spurs, where everyone in the ground knew about his sacking before he did (it might have been a European match), that to me was not how to go about things.

Haven't read the threads and didn't care about the result today.
One thing that bothers me. How has Chris Smalling got anywhere near the England Squad never mind the Man Utd one ?

I wouldn't be surprised if a match costing mistake happens at the Euros due to him.

The premier league manager transfers are more exciting than the actual player transfers.

If Mourinho does join Man Utd I sure hope we get some of that Ibrahimovic magic coming over here too.

No, it was Martin Jol being replaced by Juande Ramos that Spurs fans found out about during a UEFA Cup match.

Extra time in the English, Italian, and German cup finals all on the same day, surely that is a first?!
