He's only a kid , so he will be getting better surely . It's his confidence that needs rebuilding I reckon . ability-wise he's as good as any CB around , I'd say.

It's a pity Stones didn't go to Chelsea , he'd have learned a lot from John Terry.
Oh I definitely agree, he has the potential to be a great player. But it has to be said that he has in no way improved this season, he's had a nightmare year at Everton.

Hope that's the only penalty we miss this summer.

Hoddle describing that miss as a positive penalty is like when Andy Townsend claimed a shot straight at the keeper was hit just a little bit too well (, Clive).

Hoddle; "It's a positive penalty ..."

He missed the goal for crying out loud, nothing positive about that.

Another lesson learned for Roy don't give the pens to Kane give them to Vardy.

I was hoping Vardy would take it. He earned the penalty. Kane's taken everything today.

Definitely diamond formation is what roy should go with but England's performance so far has been poor.

England looking better in the diamond formation (and with Alli given a the freer number 10 role).

Is Vardy first choice penalty taker for Leicester? Thought it was Mahrez.

Whereas Kane is first choice penalty taker for Spurs.

That's why carroll isn't in the squad.

Nice that we don't have exclusive rights to shambolic defending.

I really hope Vardy gets matches in the Euros. It would suck if this is the tournament everyone leaves thinking "What if..." regarding him.

Phew, thank goodness for Vardy, because with Milner and Rooney not playing, it is difficult to know who to blame when things don't go well. Who are the reserve fall guys when those two are not in the team?

I think he ended first choice. Seem to remember Mahrez missing like 3 in a row and being replaced. That said even he's missed a few this season. Still it's a friendly and he earned it. Either way I don't think we have a great penalty taker in this team.

That wasn't offside but wasn't a push by Stones either.

Well Kane got stick for having the temerity to take a penalty, so I guess it would be him next in line.
