He's loosely following the path Michael Owen ploughed in his playing career. Fiver on him taking over from Mourinho when the day comes.
I look forward to him finishing his career at Stoke.

Once his voice becomes completely monotone it's off to BT and the lads!

Lukaku seems to want to leave Everton, to win titles.

Could he end up at Man United? Not sure if he'd want to go back to Chelsea, he shouldn't, anyway, but that's always a possibility.

A big fee would I suppose be needed to sign him, as I can't see Everton being happy to sell him.

Well, no, I can't imagine many teams being happy to sell their best player. But when a player wants out oftentimes they get their wish, and if he makes it public knowledge that he wants out then it can lower his price.

Looking forward to seeing how Benitez gets on in the Championship. I can't think of such a high profile manager dropping down to the second tier before.

I am just trying to think, would he be the first Champions League winning manager to manage in the Championship (not including old European Cups, just since it changed its name in to the Champions League)??

There's a good chance.

I don't think the Championship is a special league, it's still football. But teams play quite differently and I think some of the stadiums might come as a slight shock to him.

Di Matteo probably did it albeit the other way around and perhaps even lower (which divisions were MK Dons / WBA in when he was there?)

I was thinking of him, and if he gets the Villa job, then he could be included for sure.

PSG are favourites to sign him right now as they're the only ones who've made contact. He fancies going back to Chelsea though.

With Nigel Pearson taking over at Derby, does that mean that di Matteo is the only candidate for the Villa job?

Who would have thought a few months ago that Rashford would be starting an England match, whilst Rooney would be a bench option?!

Well, that didn't take long.

Slight rictus grin on Rooney's face there

Rashford will probably go ahead of Sturridge now.

Probably for the best, since Hodgson seems to love breaking Sturridge.

I think Rooney knows he does not hold the record for being the youngest England goalscorer

Think he might have had something else in mind, to be fair...

I'd take Rashford over Sturrudge anyways , Sturridge is a liability with his brittleness and lazy ways .

I hope someone has given Tyldesley some tissues to clean himself up after Rashford's goal.

Who's the commentator with Hoddle ? He described the goal as a lovely clean shot when it was anything but that

Me neither, I don't see what he offers.
