Lets see I'm French and it's a choice between living and working in Manchester or Paris where would I choose, unless he likes the rain I cant see it being Manchester
The very same Paris that fell victim to a large scale terrorist attack just a few months ago and continues to remain on high alert regarding further incidents?

Not quite as attractive as it first sounds is it?

I'll take the grey skies thanks.

Agreed if psg are interested he will go there nowhere else
Disagree. PSG can offer him a lot but I wouldn't be shocked to hear pogba saying how much he would like to play under Guardiola. It's a reoccurring theme.

That's unfair. Those attacks could happen anywhere and nevermind the fact that the chances of being caught up in such an attack are very very small.

They could but Paris have had two terrorist incidents including the Charlie Hebdo one in close proximity.

If people are going to use Manchester ' s shit weather as a reason for going elsewhere then the current high state of alert in France is a rather valid point.

Despite Tevez declaring our restaurants are awful he must have been dining at McDonald's because we have some great eateries too.

Anyone would think we live in caves up here.

I'm not convinced we were ever even in for him tbh, it looks like the plan to go to City had been going on for some time.

I'm more than happy with plan B though.

I think if LVG hadn't had such a bad second season he would have got a third year and then Giggs to follow. The fact that Giggs is allegedly naffed off that the so called succession plan hasn't happened alludes to this. So I'm not sure where Pep fitted in to all this tbh.

Maybe they did attempt a last ditch approach when everything was going tits up is anyone's guess tbh.

This is a different period of time with us, José is very different from Sir Alex, and plus it is not as if we couldn't afford to bring him back, if we wanted to get him, we could.
Wow just wow!!

You would think after seeing your team lose out to other clubs on players over the years you would tone down the arrogance.

Time for a reality check. Man Utd are not the club that every player wants to play for.

He didn't say they were but that doesn't negate the fact that United could afford to sign him which I think is what he was saying.

United can pay the very top money in terms of fees and wages, its more location that will let them down

thats not what batdude was saying at all.

"if we wanted to get him we could"

I think man U is the very last place pogba will go.

Uniteds transfer record in recent years is hardly stellar. A spend of well over a quarter billion in a few years and what sort of players did they attract? Hardly AAA.

Btw I don't think the transfer will happen, the fees being talked about from Juve camp are supposedly beyond ridiculous.

Yes that is what I was saying, there was no arrogance behind my remark, just that we are a club that can compete with other clubs for the very highest fees if we wanted to do so for a particular player.

See how much we paid for Di Maria for example (yes it didn't work out sadly, but that is beside the point), so if we wanted to, and Juve for example wanted a huge fee, then that would not be out of our range to do so.

I don't think Codeblue is in any position to lecture on "arrogance" after her comments about Everton and John Stones last summer.

And as for Kobashi, I know you like to rubbish all talk that links anyone with Liverpool or whoever it is you're supporting this week, but the same doesn't neccessarily apply to other clubs.

No champions league might be an issue as well

Man Utd definitely have the wealth to compete with anyone else just a lot more competition now. Remember di Maria only signed cos PSG were held back by FFP.

With so many of the big teams coming off poor seasons and with new managers installed, I'm sure some ridiculous fees will be thrown about this summer so I don't see a £50 million+ bid for Pogba being out of the question for City, especially if he has a good tournament at the Euros.

Meh, we will just sign up some more Indonesian business as our official paint distributors, and seat manufacturers to cover the losses from that!

I think it will be £70 mil + for Pogba. Huge amount but his only 24.

I think that's absolutely crazy money for him but there will be a gap in the City midfield assuming that Toure is moved on, which he should be.

Supposedly they want £100m, won't be happening at that money.

Peps 5 targets are Gundogan (signed and announced shortly) Stones, Laporte, Sane and Fabinho.

If they can. Reports on the weekend say he wants to stay.

I think it's 5 minimum. Could be more like 7 or 8.

Be more interesting to see who he sells, as it won't be easy to get rid of the more highly paid players.
