Don't misunderstand me, I think it perfectly reasonable to speculate about how Leicester will handle things. Heck, it has been almost impossible not to speculate along those lines - and mostly getting it wrong - since at least January. I just think people should not forget the club with a long bad history of folding when the pressure is on in the premier league is now their main rival, Spurs. So in addition to the pressure that comes with the title within touching distance, Spurs have considerable baggage to deal with as well. In a normal season, which this most certainly is not, one of the usual suspects would be favourite to snatch the title as both Leicester and Spurs stumbled at the last minute, but the usual suspects are busy tripping over themselves and show no sign of stopping doing so.

Except that a lot of these players went through the pressure of staying up last year, the pressure of maintaining the lead over Burnley in the promotion year and for some of the players the need to get out of what some of us still call the 3rd division a couple of years before that. Plus which Ranieri might not have won anything but he's been there, and Huth has won it.

For those full of angst about who has the easiest run-in the reality is that of the 8 remaining games, Spurs & Leicester both have a roughly equal mix of games that they'd expect to win, and games that no-one would be surprised at them dropping 2 or even 3 points in. It comes down to whether Leicester manage to drop 5 more points than Spurs in those games to throw it away. None of us, esp Leicslad46, can possibly know the answer to that. That's why we're all glued to it, although looking at form going back to this time last season it's looking likely that they can hang on. There are 8 games to go in which Leicester have to drop 5 more points than Spurs do.

if leicester choke, and there hasn't been much evidence they will and tot and arsenal choke then that leaves man city to win it.

would rather man city won it than tottenham.

City losing Kompany again will affect their run-in, so I doubt anything will be certain for a while yet - Spurs and Leicester have been by far the most consistent thus far. A key injury to either side may also be pivotal.

That's p*ss pour behaviour.

I hope they're sacked - definitely in the case of the player tipping it over the balcony.

Some have said that leicester will crumble under the pressure and will not win the premier league. That remains to be seen come may 15th.

Leicester city came through with flying colours when they were under REAL pressure when they was languishing seven points adrift at the bottom of the premier league following their 4-3 away loss to tottenham. West ham sat 4 apr 2015 It was time to do or die for leicester city. They went on a run that has rewarded them with 85 PL Pts

Now is the time for them to do the same and get this title won for the first time EVER and put to bed the near misses especially 1928/29 season when they missed out by one point

Eight games 720 minutes that separates them from footballing immortality and the mother of all parties in leicester. Come on leicester Every neutral is willing you on.

Juve 2-0 up at Bayern so leading 4-2 on agg, and playing well so could be a shock on the cards.

I thought you'd already crowned Spurs as champs?

There's a lot of 'they' and 'you' used when you talk about the team you support regardless but tip to lose all the time.

I reckon May 7th, when Leicester can do it at home v Everton. I hope not - we have a wedding to attend that day. It might be time to slip a radio under the top hat, just like England v Scotland in Euro 96 when some berk thought that would be a good day to get married, or in May 1991 when some other oik [actually lovely bloke + wife-to-be] decided that their wedding should take precedence over Leicester v Hereford, when Tony James brought Filbert St to the ground with his winner to stave off relegation to the the 3rd. What a day - wedding, car radio, wedding, more radio, photos, won. What goes through people's minds when they opt for a May wedding? Peasants...

based on this season leicester should win this in all honesty. it would be sickening for leicester if tottenham or arsenal win it. unless those two teams go on some massive run to prove otherwise

After 14 calf injuries in 8 years, i don't think i'd be massively surprised to see Kompany call it a day sooner rather than later.

But you're right, it will certainly affect them as their defence is far weaker without him. The derby match this weekend will be huge. Lose it and United move to within a point of them in 4th and you have 3 points separating 3rd - 6th position with all of them due to play each other over the next few weeks as well.

Although apparently Arsenal already have 4th locked in, so I guess everyone else will just be competing for the Europa League spot .. *rolleyes*

Here we go again, standard comment from you *rolleyes*. Every single Arsenal fan I know talks about us doing 4th place as completely tongue in cheek, it's a standing joke amongst the fans.

City's spine that they have relied upon for the past few years (Hart, Kompany, Yaya, Silva and Aguero) is definitely coming to the end of its lifespan.
They have had a very good innings from them, but with Kompany being more and more injury prone, Yaya just not bothering, Silva becoming less and less effective, and Aguero being far more of a home goalscorer than an away one, they will surely have to be thinking of trying to replace them sooner rather than later.

Aguero is still a top class striker, but he has said that he wants out, so they should be looking to replace him, rather than waiting until the very last moment, and panic buying.

A period of transition for Guardiola perhaps, that would be a new situation for him to come and try and do well with a team in that sort of situation.

Does Aguero want out? He said he wants to finish his career back in Argentina. I don't think his in any rush to leave just yet.

He said after the next World Cup, which is only two years away, so that is not that long away, so they should definitely be looking into potential replacements, so as not to have to panic buy at the time.

Considering the almost anorexic state Van Gaal has contrived for United's striking resources - a situation that could be regarded for a club of United's impressively deep pockets and stature as borderline criminal neglect in football management terms - it is unsurprising you would be anxious for forward planning on this specific issue. City give me the impression of being highly professional in the way they go about their business and I would be surprised if they have not been aware of and anticipating this matter and lists are already being drawn up and amended.

Just saw that Danny Drinkwater was trending. My immediate thought was 'he's out for the season'. Turns out he's been called up for England.

Hart's fine, Kompany granted looks like he's gonna struggle to get back to playing regularly so that's a problem. Yaya has actually been one of our better players recently (not that it's been hard) Silva has been playing through pain for a couple of months now due to other midfield injuries leaving us short, hoping he manages to get it sorted in the summer but unlikely with the Euros. Aguero doesn't 'want out' he's stated several times since he's been here that he wants to end his career back in Argentina, the club will be fully aware of his plans so assume will have it covered.

Also him being a 'home' goalscorer is rubbish, I'd wager teams score the majority of their goals in their home games which will lead to players goals for tally at home to being higher than away. City in general have been pretty shit away this season so I'm not gonna knock Aguero for that.
