Former DS favourite Chris Lines scored quite a goal to give Bristol Rovers the winner against Cardiff City in the League Cup.

I'm amazed that he's still there, there must have been better offers on the table.

Still, he must really love the club. A real BRFC-type player.

Not a chance is 'get mathematically clear of relegation' even on the radar of the clubs near the top.

Just wait till he scores a hat-trick in the next round against Chelsea. That'll have Abramovich scrambling for the cheque book. It might even eclipse the Pogba deal if they can tempt him away.

He'll probably require more than 290,000,000 reasons to leave.

Worth it though.*

*I reserve the right to revise this viewpoint later on if he signs for a rival club.

Good goal that from Lines. Not bad for someone who was recently described by a pundit as "unable to kick the ball very hard"

You don't know what a 'BRFC-type player' is. Let me tell you about a man named Bert Tann.

Was he the one who used to play with a tooth pick in his mouth?

Is it correct that pogba is worth ten points. If that is the case then the rest of the league is playing catch up even before a ball has been kicked. The premier league is back so stand by for toys being thrown out the pram and thats just mourinho. Still other leagues are available. Not everyone is taken in by the hype dished out by sky. Just saying

I often find that people who whine about the Premier League and/or Sky seem to spend an awful lot of their time talking about it.

No, that is not correct. All teams, even ones with Pogba in them, start with 0 points.

I thought you were a Leicester fan? Why are you so constantly down on the league your team has just won? Why are you so bothered by Man Utd and Jose Mourinho? I really dont understand. You should be as happy and chirpy going into this season as any club has ever been yet all I see is complaints.

How many variations of the same post are we up to now?

You guys clearly missed the part where the Premier League announced that they were to award Manchester United a bonus 10 points after the completion of the Pogba deal. Do you guys even football?

It was like last season when they awarded Arsenal an extra 10 points for signing Cech. They actually lost the league on goal difference.

He spent all last season being rather negative towards Leicester, even at Christmas saying the aim is to get to 40 points, then the aim is to finish in the top four, then I think top three. Negative to the end.

Well, near the end. There was a period at the end where he made posts promising he'd become more thoughtful in his posts, like once every three negative post he made after that.

Uh, okay, whatever. There wasn't anything wrong in what I said, though. But if you want to go enjoy other leagues and ignore the one your team is in that they just won then you go have fun.

Apparently Messi is coming out of international retirement.

*Shocker*

Interesting comments from Pep on Joe Hart. Really didn't confirm he will be staying let alone be #1.

Everyone knows this. Just scroll to the top of this page. There was discussion about Bristol Rovers' Chris Lines. From League One.

If you hate the Premier League so much, stop watching it. And more importantly, stop talking about it.

TheMunch I respect you a lot and think you are very informed when posting about football matters, but what you have posted here is complete twaddle. Ranieri himself, was very pessimistic about Leicester's tlitle chances until perhaps the last 5 games or so. He always maintained that 40 points was the first target, then, he said let's see how high we can get, then he said top 4 etc etc.

Except what I posted was not "complete twaddle", as everything I said was correct. This poster DID spend all last season saying those things.

What Ranieri said doesn't matter, if he instilled that mindset into his players all the way through the season I doubt he'd have won the league. I don't believe the manager truly believed that, and if he did that's besides the point.

You only joined in April so you won't have seen it but others will know what I'm talking about.

A poster noticed him being negative so all I did was comment on how negative he was being all last season, meaning that the posts he's making now aren't that surprising.

I agree with that. Ranieri was trying to keep the pressure of his players and handled it perfectly. No doubt inside the dressing room he was telling the players the title was there to be won.
