Fair do's, I concede you were talking about said poster, but can you blame him for being pessimistic considering we are talking about Leicester winning the BPL? When Ranieri the coach of his team was saying almost the same?

I did lurk for a long time before I joined so know that he was very negative about the title, but I honestly couldn't blame him. There were plenty of people (pro's and fans of football) who doubted Leicester until the very end. Nearly all said they would fade eventually. I believe Ranieri said the same to his players. Great football lads, but you've won nothing yet, it can all change in an instant as evidenced by their previous season. Flying high then BAM, they crashed and just about stayed up.

joe hart is an interesting character

He was a good goalkeeper, who was hyped by the media so much that fans believed him to be a world class goalkeeper. Unfortunitely hart believed the hyoe too and developed a terrible ego.

Anyway, when a good keeper has a poor run of form, suddenly they are an average keeper, and thats what hart is going though.

Thats not good enough for city, and after he threw a few in at the euros, it is no surprise that he will soon be playing for everton.

There is been negative and there is leicslad46 who took it to a whole new level, even when it was mathematically impossible for anyone to catch Leicester...i'm sure the poster was still been negative.

It is hard to say within DS guidelines what sky is guilty of. But i will put it this way. Sky only think that there is only four clubs competing in the pl. When i looked there was 16 other teams. The hype surrounding manchester is over the top. Mourinho is the most arrogant manager and the PL is going to be truly unbearable with him in it. His arrogance is rubbing onto his players already IMHO

Well not exactly flying high as in at the top, but I'm sure they were playing above and beyond their means for quite some time before they crashed. My memory evades me.

I just checked. Yep I was way out. They were in top 10 after seven games then they dropped to bottom of the league until as you say the last 9 or so games.

I thought they were doing well for longer than that.

Thing is, they were never playing particularly badly. No one really turned them over that season, they just couldn't get a win, but when they finally got one they went on a run that still hasn't ended!

A word on leicslad: there are plenty of pessimistic football fans on here, but his posts have often been clearly malevolent. For example, back when they were flying high at the top of the championship he could be found saying this:


He has gloried in Leicester's slip ups, and ended up making a massive fool of himself in the process. More or less everyone here is wise to him now.

Fair play, I only really remember because the press made such a song and dance over Pearson getting sacked, and Ranieri getting appointed.

They still want Ter Stegen, apparently, with Everton looking at Hart.

It's no real shock.. Hart just doesn't have the distribution skills to work in a Guardiola side.

Problem City have is finding the keeper who does. I'm not sure Barca will allow Ter Stegen to go.

My team competes in League One so my season as a fan started last week, but I still follow Prem football avidly.

In what way would a team "take advantage of the change of goalkeeper"? Both Caballero and Hart are experienced goalkeepers with this team. Caballero played every match for Man City in the League Cup. Guardiola is simply choosing which of two established goalkeepers he wants to play against Sunderland.

As far as I'm concerned, neither Hart nor Caballero is good enough to play for Manchester City. Neither is of Champions League quality, and only Hart is good enough on his day to play in the Premier League against the top teams.

I also think the fact that Joe Hart is yet again the #2 goalkeeper at Manchester City will further call his position as England #1 into doubt. Fraser Forster could well be finding himself between the sticks for the Lions more often in future.

If Hart isn't in the team that's pretty much confirmation his city career is done.

Been talk all summer that pep wants a new keeper. Pep wants Marc-Andre ter Stegen but I not sure barca will let him go in this transfer window.
