Big call, the first of many no doubt from Pep.

Will Big Sam continue to pick someone in goal who is not playing for their club side?

Held out well for the draw with 10 men and under pressure.

Solid start.

He will leave and get first team football elsewhere.

Do you think he will stay in England or go abroad to try and find first team football?

Everton have been linked, but do they really need his services?
Haven't they already replaced Howard?

I think that is the case with quite a fair few people's teams, astonished nailed on home win written all over it before it kicked off.

I don't think he will always felt hart was vastly overrated but caballero always gives off a calamity keeper vibe.

He won't be tested much today but going with him into a champions league qualifier might be a bit risky

Couple of interesting selections from Pep but I think moving Silva back into the centre of midfield is a good shout because I don't think he has the pace to be an outright attacker any more.

Nolito continuing as he did in the Euros by taking one touch too many any time he gets the ball.

Seems bloody quiet, as well. That might be down to the broadcaster though, I guess.

I do wonder if Nolito is a player who has been bought after his peak. He will be 30 in October and really only showed his ability in his peak years. Still, £13.8 million is pocket change for City and not a huge fee in today's climate, so worth the gamble.

Not a good omen for their chances in the Champions League, wouldn't you say?

I believe it's officially sold out but people who can't go put there tickets on the ticket exchange system and looks like they've not all been taken.

There's always pockets of empty seats in the family stand behind the goal aswell, assuming families who don't turn up, bit strange.

It's hard to tell to be honest with city in Europe they were better last season but kind of gave up in the semi for some reason

I didn't claim it to be, I have no issue with empty seats really, just the fact it seems to be used solely against City as some sort of way of showing we aren't a 'proper' club.

I've seen empty seats at pretty much every game I watch on TV but it doesn't bother me and hardly ever gets mentioned in the same way it does at City.
