Can we honestly say that Man United are serious title contenders

With the signings of Ibrahimovic and Bailly impressing

And then you have got Paul Pogba yet to start a game

Also the return of Luke Shaw at left back

I actually fancy them to win the title

I thought United did OK, just as Mourinho would have wanted for his first game. Solid in defence, which was previously a problem. Everyone did the job asked of them, a clean sheet would have been a bonus but it was still a comfortable win.
It might not have been a game to set the pulse racing, but Mourinho hasn't been employed to provide entertainment for Sky viewers.

Let's wait and see what Chelsea do tomorrow, as if they beat a very strong looking West Ham side, then they will also definitely be in the running.

Lots of teams will be in contention this season I belive.

Still it is nice to be looking down on everyone at this moment in time!

not quite the game that i watched. United looked average, two of their goals were mistakes, one from bournemouth who gifted mata a goal and the other from a martial scuffed shot that fell to rooney. Even ibra's goal went though the legs of two people.

But they didnt play badly. Its one game so very difficult to say. lets assess them in 10 games.

i dont think any team will be favourite

its quite touching that you care so much about United

The majority of goals come from defensive errors though, even if they're not as blatant as Bournmouth's first "gift". I thought United looked better than "average", or to put it another way, I'll be satisfied if we look that average tomorrow night.

With the defence that Arsenal have put out, you would imagine that Liverpool would be disappointed not to come away with the three points here.

Poor penalty

moreno is not going to finish this game on the pitch, klopp should hook him right now!

klopp is screaming like a madman on the side of the pitch, bizarre

Moreno is like one of those FIFA players you love to face - get the ball in the penalty box and just dander around with it. Eventually they'll just madly start pressing the slide tackle button.

Moreno is dreadful , gives away a penalty then caught way out of position for the goal

Superb free kick ,, who needs to play well when you've got someone who can do that

Yes, brilliant free kick. Aside from that, nothing to suggest either team are going to worry the Manchester clubs for the title. Early days of course.

Another good goal from Liverpool. Cut Arsenal apart there.

arsenal really need to get the cheque book out, their back 4 are awful. why spend 35million on a midfielder who cannot get a game, when they are sadly lacking in other areas?

Nicely worked goal, but shocking defending.
