They are always tipped to start a season better each year but never seems to happen

2nd missed penalty in the game for aguero.

Normally a missed one means someone else takes the second one

Its quite sad to watch former big European clubs like Steaua out of their depth to little nobody clubs like Man City just because of foreign Billionaires and TV money.

Full stadium of poor Romanians there knowing they are probably going to get beat.

No, just a farce really. Football's becoming a joke.

The commentators too saying stuff like "the Steaua defending has been terrible", "they dont seem to be learning", "they are getting severely outclassed" like they actually expect them to be competing well.

Steaua have 8 Romanians in their team, their squad probably cost less to assemble than City paid for Zabaleta and their whole squad are probably earning less than Guardiola is. In comparison Man City have 2 English players in their team who cost about £95million.

That's harsh. Without sugar daddy owners clubs wouldn't have a chance to break into the big boy club.

The only way Man City would join the party was via a rich owner. Nothing wrong with that.

Means little really, as they were fully expected to win this match.

There is though, they are ruining the sport. Chelsea and Man City and PSG have bought their way to success with other peoples money. To me they are a joke and deserve no respect.

Late equaliser may delay the inevitable outcome at Elland Rd

Lot harder games to come then this one, this was more like a pre-season match, then a competitive one really.

So what's the alternative. Those with the biggest fan base have an advantage over the rest.

Football has never been a level playing field.

Which has nothing to do with the point being made.

The game meant a lot, regardless of how easy/difficult it was.

I don't begrudge City their success, few clubs have suffered from living in the shadow of a bigger neighbour like they have, except when they won the PL in 2014. .

You wouldn't be complaining if somebody pumped billions into your club.

They've won the CL once between them, in what way are they ruining the sport?
Chelsea and City's investment brought more competition to the PL which was being dominated by Man United and to a lesser extent Arsenal. The PSG situation in France is admittedly unfortunate, as they have no serious competition.

I don't get how you can be a football fan and be so stubborn and blinded to not be able to appreciate good football or even just not a cheap dig everytime another club is mentioned, no matter what the situation.

It must be tiring.

Well of course some harder games will come, that doesnt mean qualifying means little does it.

The difficulty is irrelevant, the fact that they were expected to go through is irrelevant. The fact is it doesn't "mean little" because it means they qualify for the group stages. Unless you think qualifying for the Champions League group stages means little to Manchester City.
