I'm surprised Liverpool havent brought in more players, they actually earn't more from players sold than spent on new players so far, so it's not like they dont have the money

But yes both are basically managers coming in and deciding they don't want a certain player, but handled slightly differently.”

To be honest I'm not even sure that happened. It all seemed to have stemmed from a tweet by Basti's brother about Utd having no respect but he's never said anything himself. He's been on social media carrying on exactly as he has done for the past year talking about match day etc etc.

It might be that he told him he's not part of his plans so didn't want him to train with the first team but feel free to train with the reserves if you want.

No journos seem to have asked Jose about it at the press conferences so not sure if the truth will come out.

I think that this has been overplayed and overhyped this Schweinsteiger situation, (the going to jail comment was waaayyyy over the top for example).

We have only played two league games, that is it, he is not alone in not having featured in our games, so lets see what the situation is like when the games start coming thick and fast, and the injuries and suspensions start happening.

Most clubs have players that dont feature in their plans, Raneri has a few but the difference is they haven't made them go train with the kids, just better man management

One such player Riche De Laet has just been sold to Aston Villa

Where is the confirmation that he has been made to train with the kids??

I have seen and heard people say this, but I have not seen any real evidence of this.

It was widely reported by many news outlets including the Manchester Evening news.

I like Jose has a manager but he does seem to like getting in the lime light even if it is for the wrong reasons

Bit different for a keeper I suppose as you always need them for training purposes and he is on the bench. The principle is the same though - you aren't going to play and that's it.

Except he has a chance of playing tomorrow and is training with the first team. No similarity between Mourniho and Schweinsteiger and Guardiola and Hart, except both players are free to leave.

Glad to see that the FA are charging Andre Gray for his twitter homophobia and that his hollow apology didn't dissuade them otherwise. If he really is a changed man as he claims then more fool him for not deleting those tweets before Saturday. Hopefully a ban ensues and not just a fine.

Of course there is! Both managers have come in with pre-conceived judgements on the players they want to be involved and have told these two players that they will not be part of the first team. In the case of Hart he is still in and around the squad because he is a goalkeeper and a club only has a couple of those to call on so he is being kept around in that respect.

Even the language used when talking about Schweinsteiger is emotive. Telling a player he is not part of the first team squad and therefore won't train with the first team squad has become "Schweinsteieger forced to train with the kids"

Yes agreed. Seems to me he's more sorry he got found out. I really like him as a player but I didn't realise he'd come up with all that until Saturday night. In some ways taking four years to say sorry makes it far worse as far as I'm concerned.

So the two managers did deal with the situation differently. The reason I commented on it was because a man United fan said that Mourinho had been harshly treated compared to Guardiola. I argue that they are two different situations and there is no reason to compare and get defensive abiut it

But it was true. There was a thread on here that Mourinho should go to jail for it.

It's an interesting one. What he said was highly offensive and of course he should be punished, but at the same time I find it a little odd that this should all blow up 4 years after it took place. And yes, the apology seemed a bit contrived.

Guess it goes to show that you should always be careful about what you share and post on social media, you never know when it'll come back to haunt you.

Only post what you are confident will never come back to haunt you in the future, if in doubt, do not post.

Seems he didn't really think before he posted and this is the end result.

I have no sympathy for him whatsoever.

Batdude, if there's anything you should have sympathy with it's having stuff on your twitter account you later regret (or completely deny before screengrabs)
