I surprised that Pep still gives Sterling a chance. I think soon his career will go the same way that Shaun Wright-Phillips' did.
He's had the best start to a season in his career.

redknapp on sky already saying that "he is not that type of player"

quinn "he withdrew the power at the last second"
Tweedledum and Tweedledee.

Though I do think he'll get away with it.

Rooney down as a midfielder in Allardyces's squad. The madness continues.

Untouchable. It's ridiculous.

Its a LONG season. History is littered with players who raise their game for a new manager, but it quickly fades.

The people of Manchester are very lucky I agree, seeing José Mourinho at Manchester United is something that is very special.

So very special that you were dead set against him for a long time. It takes something special to change such a strong opinion so much and so fast in a very short amount of time.

As I said at the time, I will back our managers until such a time or moment when they no longer deserve such backing, such a time happened pretty quickly with Moyes, and although it took a bit longer with LvG, it still happened.

It is entirely possible that it may well also happen with José, but so far after three wins out of three, he has done a good job, and has not given me on a personal level, a reason as to why he should not continue to receive my backing.
If or when that changes, then I will definitely be raising my concerns.

Backing a manager you didn't want is a bit different to being so against an appointment then thinking they're special just a couple months later.

not really that special is it? hes managed in england already after all.

also im talking more about how guardiola teams play, when on song its great

3pts is 3pts of course but i imagine most fans prefer dominance to last min scrape wins vs relegation fodder if given the choice.

Agreed. I'm sure City fans will have been pleased with the improvement after the Sunderland match. Our victory over Southampton was pretty great as well, think the fans of both Manchester clubs should be optimistic.

Off topic and apologies if already mentioned but does anyone think Patrick Bamford will ever make an appearance for Chelsea?

4 and a half years since he joined and all spent on loan, Burnley being his latest club

So what you meant to say was Man City fans rather than the people of Manchester?

Only if they miraculously get relegated. (Here's hoping. )

He's just not that good.

I must admit, I've not been very impressed with what I've seen of him. I see he signed a new 3 year contract in November last year.

Patrick Bamford - coming to a club near you soon!

Sunderland and Stoke are near the bottom of the league so despite Hull being relegation candidates I don't think City are exactly sweeping top opposition away either. It took a late own goal at home to win against Sunderland. Two games at home with City having a decent home record over the last few years.

Yet to keep a clean sheet unless you're looking at their European qualifier.

West Ham have been crippled with injuries.

They've also spent more than any other team too.

Why would I be in awe of the way that they are playing??

I will be impressed if they can play well against us, but so far they haven't really impressed me all that much, the goals that they have scored have had more than a whiff of bad defending about them.

I am not upset, I mean if they were playing well against good teams, then they would deserve praise, but so far, they haven't hit those sort of heights.

A lot of hype over not much action so far, and just like a lot of teams (my team included), are very much a work in progress.

Why would I, or any United fan be in awe of City? They've played three league games, mostly looked good but have had moments of vulnerability, same as Chelsea and United.

Oh, and claiming United fans are upset is just silly.
