No hostility from me, just questioning why I would be, or should be in awe of a team that has had a very similar start to my own team.

Standard bait, bite, 'victim' routine. Yawn.

Bit of a shame if that was the case, as I don't mind actual discussion over a team and how they are doing in general.

I would have thought you could have considered more closely the provocative and goading nature of your own comments before playing the victim.

You should really have realised having a few thousand posts under your belt that saying fans of opposing teams must be "in awe" of how City are playing was going to illicit a certain response in a thread designed to be for neutrals.

That is a really spineless post above. Either have some balls, stand by your opinion and argue it respectfully, or step away from it altogether, rather than leaving hand grenades behind, and especially in a neutrals thread.

Irrespective of who they're playing, City's football has been very watchable indeed. Unlike Liverpool and Arsenal (who are also playing with tempo and style in parts), City are getting results along with being attractive to watch. I think United's football will improve massively if they use the pace and directness of Rashford and Mkhitaryan more often as the Rooney/Mata/Zlatan axis is more like a slow-acting poison - very effective though.

Chelsea are a bit of a mix of the two styles at the moment with Hazard adding most of the style. I think Everton, Leicester and Spurs will also be very effective once they settle down.

It's good to have such a diverse array of tactics/styles in the league, even at the bottom.

Any sign of the FA charging Aguero with that elbow, conveniently ignored by Andre Marriner?

The fact the referee has said he didn't see it means a ban is incoming I'd say.

Or the one he said he has not seen?

What do you think is behind his reasoning for ignoring it?

Has the referee said that? If so, then that does sound like it may only be a matter of time before he s charged then.

If he is to miss the derby match, presumably that young striker of theirs Indenacho will take his place?

If the ref didn't see it, or says he never saw it, then something might happen. If he saw it and "ignored it" then, unless rules have changed, there can't be retrospective punishment.

What's their 'upcoming fixture list' got to do with it?

He elbowed someone, got caught on camera, and will presumably get done for it. As with any other player.

Ok

But why do you think he ignored it?

He said he did not see it.

So you must think he was lying yes?

So what is his reason (in your view) for doing so?

They can be inconsistent, including in the severity of punishments, but if the ref witnesses an incident and doesn't punish they can't retrospectively punish the player. I think if it is in his match report it's final.

Oh yeah of course that injury was always going to keep him out of their next three matches.

not really that special is it? hes managed in england already after all.

also im talking more about how guardiola teams play, when on song its great

3pts is 3pts of course but i imagine most fans prefer dominance to last min scrape wins vs relegation fodder if given the choice.
I'm VERY happy with that kind of win. These are the games we've been dropping stupid points in the last 2-3 years.

If the injury is "precautionary" it'll have been more about the round trip to South America (hoping he'd get let off any ban) than anything else.

His fill-in at City will love this slick football - he'll be a danger. I don't think Aguero's absence will lessen the spectacle.
