i'm fairly sure if we went back to the equivalent thread 12 months ago we would see people crowning man city chamions after they had won their first 5 games last season too

Chelsea and city have started very well on a couple of occasions recently and people say they will run away with it.. They never do... As things stand, I think City will run away with it!

Hopefully Liverpool get top 3. Would be good to see another outsider break in to challenge for top 4 as well...
Dunno if they'll run away with it. There will probably be patches of poor form like most title winning sides and they'll be moments where another team looks like challenging but I expect them to pull away in the last couple of months. Obviously this is a prediction, not saying it's going to happen.

Almost certainly. But I'd argue that most people are just saying they are heavy favourites and that they've upgraded manager since last season. Don't think they'll slip up as much.

Mourinho will need to change the formation as it doesn't look like succeeding

Thought Martial was fouled though for the Watford goal

Another loss and the pressure increases already.

They really don't look any better than last season too much money wasted as normal

Mourinho looking more and more like the manager Chelsea sacked as opposed to the title winning one he used to be.

I've said it before, I think City will win the league by 10+ points. I remember Pep's first season at Barca, they really focused on dominating the head-to-heads with the other challengers and ended up opening a decisive gap by Christmas. City are already 5-6 points ahead of all their rivals, and I expect they'll do the same thing and target those head-to-heads over the next couple of months to try to pull away.

I'm just glad that Pep is dispelling all the myths about him being in for a shock here, needing to adjust to unique demands of the Premier League, not being able to play the same sort of football yadda yadda yadda

Obviously its early days but things just dont look right at Man Utd under Jose. The club has a feel of desperation about it, in the sense of its the last throw of the dice and if it doesnt work out with Jose they are saying to themselves "where do we go from here". How is Rooney still starting game. Jose is usually so ruthless.

Yep, not dug him out in the past but it has to be said Rooney is stinking the place out at the moment.

What a win for Watford.

Jose and half a billion pounds of investment was their plan c.

What on earth will they do if it fails? They look like a team of missfits at the moment. Its football manager type stuff - throwing money at a problem and expecting them to gel.

Watford haven't beaten Man Utd since 1986, didn't think we'd be getting stats like this with Mourinho at the helm, Moyes, yes, LVG, maybe but not Mourinho.

Man united had a mid table team and squad last season... They've made a few additions, but the bulk of their squad is still average.... If they play with no intensity, they can be beaten by anyone.. They lost the aura a couple of seasons ago and it's not coming back anytime soon.
