Oh Sunderland... Utter stupidity from McNair to give away that free kick. Just cost his side a point.

Defoe is wasted playing under that clown Moyes. He's still a brilliant premiership striker.

He still has a few more good years left in him, be interesting to see if he is still at Sunderland this time next season.

Chelsea's defending is bloody awful.

What's your point?

Sakho was dropped from the squad for some attitude problems or disciplinary issues, and his recent comments on social media have made his situation worse. He could have gotten some game time if not for them. He was told he wouldn't play again for Liverpool but he refused to leave.

The difference is Schweinsteiger hasn't created an issue about it, and seems to act like there is no issue at all, part of that being because he wasn't dropped from the squad because of some attitude problem or because he fell out with the manager.

Klopp hasn't treated Sakho poorly in any way. If Sakho had a problem he should have left when the manager told him to, but he kept refusing offers.

You would have to say if Chelsea lose this eight points behind city looks a massive gap even at this early stage

Don't fancy Chelsea's chances of finishing the top 4 this season.

Think it's going to be Man City, Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal.

More terrible defending from Chelsea.

Kante has been absolutely useless this half. Him, Cahill and Hazard have been responsible for all of the goals between them.

Is it purely coincidence that Cahill's collapse in form has come at the same time that David Luiz returned to Chelsea?

I dont think Kante influences the games for Chelsea like he did for Leicester, not sure why

I wouldn't be writing us off just yet!

I think I'll give Chelsea a few more games before I write them off for top four. Losing to Arsenal and Liverpool certainly doesn't help them, but I don't know if it's fair to judge their chances based on losing to those two teams. Although losing to your top four rivals can't be good.

It's still difficult to predict how the season will end.

Last week in the Liverpool I posted this, in this order:

1) Man City
2) Man United
3) Arsenal
4) Liverpool

I think 2-4 have moved around a bit though. I'm not as confident about Man United finishing second as I was, even though this prediction was before they beat Leicester. I think they'll still finish in the top four, but I'm starting to believe Liverpool will finish above them.

That's just my current prediction, it'll probably change after a few games. Chelsea could well finish there, they just need to go on a good run.

I don't understand how a team who were champions not long ago can be so poor and devoid of confidence. Similar story to post-Ferguson United. They won the league in 2013 and have been nowhere close since.

The games between the teams fighting for the top four places, will be the key ones, more so than usual I think.

So the upcoming United v Liverpool game will be very important for both sides.

It didn't help that we appointed Moyes, which is right up there with the biggest errors in our whole history.

Moyes did no worse than LVG in his first season.

There's also Chelsea who imploded last season after winning the title convincingly.

Maybe it's the loss of Kante. I think winning the season could have had a negative effect, though. The momentum is gone because they've won it, they're no longer little Leicester going for the title. They should show more fight in the Champions League, though.

i think he was talking about chelsea tbh

chelsea just look to me to be lacking something in the middle of the park, kante and matic are a bit samey and fabregas has really regressed the last couple of years

Oh, right. With Leicester not doing so well I thought he meant them. But then "champions not so long ago" makes it seem obvious now.

My point about Leicester still stands, though.

Or LVG, who had more experience with big teams and spent far more money than Moyes.
