Still got nearly three years left on his contract left on massive wages, I doubt there are too may clubs who are willing to go there tbh and I can't see Rooney going abroad. I think he's too much of a home bird.

Van Gaal probably got himself sacked with his blind faith in Rooney. Far too reliant on a striker whose form was on the wane.

We weren't exactly scoring goals for for fun last season either.

Yeo, I didn't consider the contract situation

I'm just glad you didn't sell him to us. We never would have signed Costa, and would still be lumbered with Rooney now, as if we didn't have enough problems.

I should not laugh but how much space did Dusan Tadic have in the middle of the box he basically just walked the ball in. 4 West Ham defenders around the player out of the right of the box not one player covering the middle you could have driven a bus though that gap.

West Ham's defence is all over the place. If you look at both Sunderland and West Ham under Sam Allardyce they had decent defence which has fallen apart. It is a bit like pullis at stoke. Teams in an effort to play attractive football end up going backwards in a couple of years due to a poor defence. I do think these type of managers dont get enough respect in the game.

Not quite the "West Ham way" their fans hoped for..

After the hubris of Lady Brady and the Gold and Sullivan pair and the way they have effectively (talking morally not in a literal legal sense) stolen public money to pay for their plush new home it would take a heart of stone not to laugh at all the problems they are having.

I didn't realise that West Ham only have access to the Stadium on match days

No wonder they look like the away team

Worrying times for Bilic

Bilic”

Presume its used by tax-payers for the rest of the week - who are of course paying for the ground.

Of course moving to the new ground shouldn't excuse their poor defending and all around play.

Some of the players are probably quite pleased the fans are a long way from the pitch so they don't hear the stick/abuse they are getting!

It is not that big a deal most teams dont train on the pitch at the ground that is saved for home games. West ham have the new Rush Green training centre were they spend most of the week training.

A lot of teams have struggled when moving to a new ground I believe it is more on a mental problem. They play away all the on different grounds it cannot be that much of an issue to judge the ball.

Been out so just seen the results of the West Ham game. 5 straight losses, bottom three. Will Bilic be the first big name to go before Christmas?

Moyes brought in three of them, two who are not Premier League quality and out of form winger. United got a right good deal out of him.

The problem with Sunderland runs deep and has done for years, if the words of Roy Keane are to be believed it appears too much backroom politics are affecting the whole club.

Sunderland have not invested over the summer and really only have two players of any value. Defoe is a fine finisher but he wont be able to keep them up alone. Unless there is a major change and good reforcements come in January its the end of them and could be away from the Premier League for some time.

A better manager would have moved him on and bought in a replacement. Moyes didn't have the balls to do it.”

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Rooney was 27 years old at the time so why would any manager think rooney was in terminal decline it at that point? Mourinho and Allardyce are the only ones you can truly accuse of being blind to the blatantly obvious...... along with just about every tv pundit and ex-pro

I bet even Fergie would still be using him, if he hadn't retired.

He threw him under the bus before he left so I very much doubt it and even bought RVP a season earlier.

Don't forget the contract situation in 2010,maybe Fergie was looking ahead and thought Rooney had peaked?

And yet the former sunderland boss is now the england manager, the rat jumped off the ship.

Moyes, as useless as he is, had no real chance of keeping them up. When you combine the problem WITH moyes, its a dead cert to go down.

You know racism in football? Not any more you don't, it's been vanquished yeah?

https://www.theguardian.com/football...P=share_btn_tw

Quote:
“Fifa has disbanded its anti-racism task force, declaring the work complete despite ongoing concerns about discriminatory behaviour in Russia, the hosts of the 2018 World Cup.

Fifa has written to members of the task force to say that it has “completely fulfilled its temporary mission” and “is hereby dissolved and no longer in operation.””

I never thought we'd live to see the day all people of the world can come together without prejudice. Thanks Sepp and the lads, a dream fulfilled.

What a joke!

They are still not fit for purpose.

Are they going to tackle sexism, religious intolerance and homophobia now then?

How convenient! Just before that well known "tolerant of everything" country hosts the next world cup, they are disbanding the sections that deal with any form of bigotry.

Bluddy clever that! Hope it bites them hugely in their big fat butts!

when you put it that way, its a stroke of genius

otherwise russia could be banned from their own world cup because of racism!

Fingers crossed, we could have all forms of discrimination wiped out by lunchtime at this rate.

I can't really begrudge Blatter all the envelopes of cash he has hidden under his bed with this revelation.

Like with nearly everything they associate themselves with, a huge lack of shame covers most of their bases.

On a much lighter note, there are a few photos from the weekends matches that are just crying out for captions - the Man United fan, Joe Allen and especially Costa - that one is magic!

What is that Utd fan doing? Maybe a touch of vertigo? The Zlatan one looks like some Kung Fu fighting.

Costa could do with a trip to a walk in centre with whatever is doing that to him.

I'm having a great big laugh, I can't stand that awful money grabbing Brady woman.
