I cant believe everyone on here is writing off Man United on winning the title

All they need is a couple of wins and the other teams to drop points and they are in contention again

They don't have the players or tactics to win the title. They won't even come close.

No ones saying it's mathematically impossible but from what we've seen so far this season I think 4th could be a struggle again.

Still long way to go.

Crikey, 6 points off the top in October is nothing. This looks like it has the potential to be a tight league. Can all change very quickly.

It's not so much the points gap but the gap in quality that convinces me United are out of contention already.

Mourinho manages to do it again with the diversionary tactics

All the media seem to be talking about is what he did/didn't say etc instead of focussing on the terrible performance/tactics/application of his team

Absolutely.

He knew what he was doing, getting in Contes ear right in-front of the cameras.

However it does rather make him and united a laughing stock though.

There was a half-time ad that boosted the odds of a 4-0 result too, I fancied a bit of that if I had any bloody internet at the time.

I think it stretches beyond that with Everton and Southampton playing really well. I thought Everton were really unlucky not to win on Saturday, on balance over the City and Burnley and the earlier Spurs result should be 4 points better off. As a neutral I love watching Bournemouth too. This season looks like shaping up to be better than last and each week there will be a few surprises. One of the most unpredictable seasons yet. I was pretty certain that United and Liverpool would be a draw but thought that yesterday would be the same at Chelsea, how wrong could I be about yesterday.

I'll never ever be as happy about a team winning the Premier League as I was last season with Leicester but I would be reasonabley happy if either Liverpool, Arsenal or Spurs won this year. Guardiola needs to find at least 4-5 more players. 2 fullbacks, centreback striker.

So who will be the better more stable English centre-back if they both start in midweek, Stones or Smalling??

It's like choosing between Trump and Clinton. Neither is an appealing choice!

I wrote them off after their performance v Liverpool. If a manager employs those tactics (granted after that game some Man Utd fans were happy with the tactics) it is not going to get them title 21.

No he didn't park the bus but for me to employ those tactics away at the top teams will drop him more points than it will get him.

Not to mention dropping Wayne Rooney with him getting on a bit and then replacing him with the much younger Ibra

Your last paragraph can simply be applied to half of the league.

He didnt park the bus?

The formation quickly became 7-2-1, surely that has to be parking the bus?

He had his 4 defenders, 2 wide players dropped in on the flanks and at times fellaini droped right into the centre of defence making 7 (seven)

Ibrahimovic was usually the only player stood over the halfway line - and he is hardly jamie vardy playing off the shoulder.

I disagree. Whenever certain managers lauded for their "mind games" do something out of order its always "aren't they being clever". Having a go at Conte looked like a heat of the moment emotional Mourinho acting like a petulant child to me, hence why he barely mentioned it in the post-match interviews. You'll be telling me him trying to poke out the barcelona coaches eye when at Real and humiliating the team doctor (forgot her name) when at chelsea were all calculated attempts at brilliant mind games next.

Potentially some trouble for us if this is true:

Looks like we might in a bit of bother over a fake letter from when the Pozzos took over regarding funds.

Strange thing is as a family they are minted so this seems odd that they would make stuff up.
