The draw for the EFL cup looks a bit cheap

Liverpool v Leeds
Man U v West Ham
Hull v Newcastle
Arsenal v Southampton.

Be interesting to see what sort of teams are fielded - Southampton and West Ham might fancy their chances against a weaker Man U/Arsenal side.

Hull v Newcastle is a great chance for both sides to get through.

Has David Sullivan tried to absolve West Ham fans of blame yet?

He will probably say the Chelsea fans provoked them

More than happy with that draw. Be great to see the new stand at Liverpool and put 6 goals past them.

Man U will go full strength in the League Cup. It's their only realistic hope of silverware this season.

Being safe in midtable means no need to rest players

You can do that if you like, we'll just put 8 past you!

Liverpool, Manchester United, Newcastle, and Arsenal to go through from those ties for me.

Then hopefully a Liverpool v Arsenal semi and a Manchester United v Newcastle other semi.

Although the thought of getting beat by Liverpool in the final (if we are so lucky to get there), doesn't fill me with too much excitement, so I think that I will be rooting for Arsenal, if the draw pans out that way.

More inconsistent refereeing from Martin Atkinson

Obvious yellow for Pienaar not given

No wonder managers get frustrated with inconsistent decisions made by officials

It certainly seems a case of how many will Arsenal win by

Whilst it's only 1-0 though......you never know

While it stays 1-0 Defoe will get a chance sooner or later.

What a finish from Giroud. He scores the hard chances and missed the easy ones.
