City are not very good at this clean sheet malarkey are they?

I have a feeling that this will stop them from winning the title, as usually title winning teams have a good spine at the back.

Seeing those factory workers, work for what they would consider peanuts, probably put their life into perspective and gave them that all important kick up the backside they needed.

If Moyes takes them to a local Sunderland call centre, they'll win the league.

Beckamesque goal from Steve Sidwell puts Brighton ahead

Just inside Bristol City's half

That was a sweet goal from Eden Hazard.

Lol, Chelsea got a second as I was typing that.

The title could be going to Chelsea, they are looking really good and playing attacking football.

First goal was offside

I bet Sutton and Dublin today on Final Score are looking a bit stupid happily predicting that Sunderland would lose. Even Sutton was smiling and confident they would lose today. It was strange that when the match was finished they never talked about how Sunderland finally won a game. But were happily to talk about Man City drawing and Burnley winning their matches

Even after all this time, I don't fully understand the offside rule

How was Luiz not interfering with play ?

That was from a corner kick, not a cross and Everton players ran out.

Yeah, cos predicting Sunderland to lose based on the season so far is really daft...

Probably helped by the grim reaper having a touch line ban perhaps?

Maybe it will the same for Manu when Jose ban starts?,

Well now I'd say Chelsea to win the league is the most probable outcome. We just have the right balance between attack and defence. Liverpool and City are great in attack but poor defensively and Spurs the opposite. Arsenal are probably closest to us in terms of that balance but the other 3 sides will suffer over a whole season if they don't address their issues soon.

Not surprising when you watch the clown they signed as their new number 1 goalkeeper.

Probable, that's a brave statement to make at this stage of the season.

Must have missed that part where he said that Manchester United were in a relegation battle before the start of the season like Dave did.

Added to the fact that apart from trying to win the 'give me more time and money' award for services to football , Jose unlike Dave at least does have a pedigree for winning trophies unlike his predecessor.

Like comparing a Rolls to a Robin reliant.

Don't worry, these kind of bold statements can always be found at a later date if it all goes tits up.

Maybe I should've waited after the City game in December before saying it but I'm happy to stand by it. Loads were happy to claim City the winners after a month. At least I have a get out clause; if City and Liverpool fix their defence then they'll win

To be fair it was mostly pundits saying that, giving little regard to the fact they were mostly playing teams in the bottom 6.

Liverpool supposedly have a weak defence, yet we've conceded 13 goals. There are 9 teams who have conceded more, and 2 teams who are also on 13 goals. Arsenal and Man City are on 10, and Chelsea are on 9. If Liverpool or Man City's defence is poor, then, statistically, Chelsea's don't look miles better at the moment. Chelsea have only conceded one less than City, and have +2 higher GD.

I can't find the stats, but apparently Liverpool's apparent weakness at set-pieces isn't as bad as originally thought. I even heard we've conceded the same amount of goals from set pieces as Spurs, the best defence in the league, who've conceded just 5 goals. I can't remember where Liverpool ranked on goals conceded from set-pieces, but it's not the highest, and not even the highest out of the top 6 or whatever.

Even, I think it was 2 seasons ago when we had something like the most clean sheets or thereabouts, we still had the reputation of having a dodgy defence.

The lastest is liverpool will burn themselves out because of their pressing game. But the stats show it's something like 500m more on average per player more than the league average, or once around the pitch. On one hand pundits say liverpool have an advantage not playing European football then seem concerned they are running too much.
