It's dangerous, causing a crowd surge.

It's a safety thing, and Neville should shut his mouth.
You've really excelled yourself this week. England wearing the poppy, the Rooney nonsense and now the absurd caution for celebrating a goal.
Where would the forum be without you, a great hat trick.

Do you ever look back on your posts and feel a little bit embarrased?

They get a yellow when they go into the crowd for a reason.

What is that reason?

Please tell us why the fa have instructed referees to issue a yellow card if a player leaves the field after a goal and "celebrates" with them?

That's all, tell us why they do this. Honestly, you must think the fa are a load of killjoys like Neville, who make laws without thinking.

Neville has showed himself up yet again.

I thought it was because a player celebrating with their fans could incite crowd trouble , nothing to do with safety ??

That's almost certainly sponsor pressure - if their logos aren't prominent on TV or the back pages after a goal, they're wasting their money.

Who is talking about that?

We are specifically talking about when a goal scorer goes off the field into the crowd.

You didnt say crowd safety from crowd trouble , you were talking about crowd surging , which doesnt happen, it the reason they put seats in stadiums , people jump around when a goal is scored whether a players runs over or not , are you going to ban crowd celebrations now

I just think you are talking nonsense to be honest, i think there are stupid rules a yellow card is given when a goal is scored that sanitises the game for no reason imo

I didnt think of that , thats probably the reason , i still think a yellow is harsh

I thought it was because of the whole take your shirt off and have a message written underneath, i know they don't allow that anymore , so i thought they might have just had the yellow rule to stop people removing their shirts and being tempted to have a message

Their fans are just happy to be there though, so I'm sure they won't be disheartened.

Means nothing really, the points separation between 9th and 18th is so close this season

This is ridiculous.

It's a safety thing, that's why they are given yellow cards, any why Neville was 100% wrong.

The FA a bunch of killjoys ? No I don't think that. I consider them a bunch of mealy-mouthed, cowardly tossers who run an organisation that is unfit for purpose.
