The Watford v Leicester game is like watching a championship match, the quality of both sides is so poor, they need to get back to basics and learn how to pass the ball.

The Leicester players who got new contracts certainly dont deserve the big wages they are now earning

The flaw in this passion or having fun argument is that for around 100 years, goal celebrations never once involved a shirt coming off. You can't think of too many before Giggs.

Hurst, Greaves, Lineker, Rush, Shearer scored a thousand goals, vital ones that won trophies.

Not only do I not agree with the passion or emotion argument. I'd go further to say a lot of the time is can be a lack of passion.

Emotion is quite evidently Tardelli, Falcao or Socrates running away, veins pumping, colour drained from their face. I'd add Alan Sunderland to that too!

Some of these shirt removals now seem more like a player desperate to show off his abs for the cameras more than emotion.

Whether it deserves a yellow card or not, I don't know. They don't seem to be connected to me, but it can be irritating.

I thought it was because of the whole take your shirt off and have a message written underneath, i know they don't allow that anymore , so i thought they might have just had the yellow rule to stop people removing their shirts and being tempted to have a message”

Isn't it simply that they are not complying with the laws of the game ie defining that shirts shorts and socks have to be worn. Harsh but I think that's the reason.

Certainly wasn't a great 2nd half - we defended well.

Scored 2 very good goals early on though..

Not the greatest weekend so far of premier league games I suppose spurs at the moment missing the chance to open a gap behind them.

This is turn might mean the current top 4 may open a gap behind them

The top five, are the ones that I fully expect to see competing for the four places on offer, unfortunately I think my own team will just come up short, and below those teams.

It is very hard to pick a side who I think will miss out on the top four, as these sides are all fairly even.

A bit like Leeds in 1992/93, the season after they won the title.
Leeds didn't win in the league away from home in the whole season. Leicester are also having big problems away from home.
Leeds finished in the bottom half that season.

They also had two strong centre-backs that were really good in the air, but slow and with limited ability on the ball, in Chris Whyte and Chris Fairclough. They struggled badly in 1992/93. Wes Morgan and Robert Huth are certainly two similar types who haven;t started the season particularly well.

The stoke player should have been booked for that pathetic dive.

It may have been a penalty, but he should have been booked for ungentlemanly conduct regardless.

Nice to see that Rob Green hasn't lost his capacity to provide a good laugh every now and then.

In the three games Burnley have received plaudits for this season (Liverpool, Everton and Man Utd) they have conceded 88 shots to the opposition. That's not a long term recipe for success.

2 wins and a draw from the 3. Saving your best form for the big teams isn't a long term recipe for success either.

How can a team like Burnley be so good at home but so poor away

And how can Tom Heaton be so great against Man United but play so shit against West Brom

See my earlier post.

They were also a whisker away from getting a point against Arsenal before a last minute controversial goal.

Good sense of perspective on the Rooney situation provided by Carragher and Coleman just now on MNF.

Because as someone said earlier the home results don't reflect what actually went on in the games and come end of season it'll even itself out. They were absolutely battered by Liverpool (who had their worst performance of the season) and Everton (Eve had 65% possession and 21 shots to Burnley's 10) yet somehow Burnley ended up the winner of both those matches.
