always the victim hey james?
No, and I'd kindly ask that you and certain others stop with the 'victim' digs every time I dare to point out an inconsistency in attitudes to different issues. It's incredibly tedious.

Nice moment for the young Liverpool lad - is he one for the future at Anfield?

(You know the press will hype him up for a while)

So two English players in the space of three days have made an impact as we had Josh Sims starring for Southampton as well

He's certainly highly thought of at Liverpool, and many are touting him to be the next PL regular to come out of the our academy. He had a very good pre season for us too, some ice cold finishing. He generally looks unfazed by it all, which is nice to see in a 17 year old.

He's eligible to play for both England and Wales too, so it'll be interesting to see (assuming he gets more game time) whether he'll get a call up from either, literally to just play 1 minute from the bench and lock him into the international setup.

Newcastle are so bad at penalty shootouts. I read last night that they've only won one since the shootout concept was introduced in the 1970/71 season.

So we are half way to knowing the full semi finalists, tonight should complete them, hopefully my team will be in the hat, with I am guessing Arsenal being the other team.

I suppose everyone will then need hoping to draw Hull out of the hat (or whatever device is used) for their respective semi final opponent.

I've heard that Billy Smart's circus are turning up with a giant tombola. A bearded lady will draw the home teams, and an elephant on a small plinth will be selecting the away sides with his trunk.

Robbie Neilson is leaving Hearts for MK Dons..

Does it say much for the Scottish Premier league that a top 3 manager quits for a side near the relegation zone of League One?

I think the draw for the World Cup in the USA was a bit like that.

A top quality goal, reminds me a bit of when Schmeichel scored past Wimbledon at Selhurst Park right near the end, but his was ruled out for offside!

Haven't Everton fans got more important things to concern themselves with than the colour of the baubles on Ronald Koeman's Christmas tree?

And we wonder why the players do it!

Jason - Yes they probably do but I get the feeling Everton hate Liverpool much more than Liverpool hate Everton and they feel a bit like the bullied little brother..

Sure, but it's not like he's had his house painted red and a Liver Bird attached to the front of his car, is it?

Lansbury has got two men sent off in this game against newcastle. The first with shelvey was nothing in it and the second he was already falling over before touched. 2 red cards, 2 penalties and two saves.
