Schweinsteiger is only 31, he looks like he is in his 40's

He is also a least a stone overweight for this level

It looks like he has been retired years and has turned up for one of those pro celebrity games

Yeah his finished. Some were surprised when Bayern let him go but he wouldn't get anywhere near there side.

He cost nothing except his wages. Worth taking a chance on, nothing to lose.

This ref seems gutless to me.

Awful inconsistent refereeing again

Look at that from City: 22 shots and only 3 on target.

Saying that, this has been a game that's perfectly illustrated the malaise within both teams.

The ref bottles a clear second yellow for smalling.

Not fit for purpose, I'm calling him a cheat, it cannot just be incompetance.

Spot on, that was an absolutely guaranteed booking for a player who hadn't already been booked but the ref is either the biggest bottler there has ever been or a cheat?!
I hope Man City make a formal complaint against him after the match and he gets "dropped" from the Premiership for a while as he's clearly not fit for the job.

If Man Utd win it will be a good result for West Ham.

Who would have thought at the start of the season Leicester, Spurs and West Ham finishing in the top four.

This ref seems to be bottling any big decision. The penalty in the first half and the second yellow for Smalling.

City are bloody rubbish though.

The decisions he has missed

A yellow for mata on sterling
A yellow for blind on aguero
A pen for city, holding shirt in the box
A cast iron stonewall penalty for United , demichaelis on rashford
A second yellow for smalling, treading on the Achilles

Apart from that he's done well!

Caught the radio commentator saying he also bottled giving a similar glaring second yellow in the North London derby. Not a cheat but gutless. And will he be disciplined at all?

What a goal that would have been from Aguero.

If Fergie was still the manager, they'd have knocked 6 minutes off.

What about the two footed off the ground studs up tackle over the ball that caught the opponent by arsenals Gabriel last week, right in front of the ref.

The ref gave nothing, not even a foul.

Where was the retrospective action by the fa or the sanction of Andre mariner?

City are dreadful. Ain't just a change of manager required but some serious work needs to be done in the transfer market. Not just one or two. This team and squad needs surgery.

People still think Guardiola is walking into some easy job?

Pellegrini comes across as a very decent guy, but this performance by City is a good insight into why he will not be the manager next season.

Rashford is my man of the match.

I doubt they'll discipline him for not booking someone. They'll say it's the referee's discretion and leave it at that.

This City side really are abject. They barely looked like scoring against the worst United side I've ever seen.

Agree with that. More and more refs are becoming "bottlers" in the big matches these days and nothing ever gets done about them. If anything, they get praised by the FA and commentators for not sending people off!

I doubt Pellegrini gives a toss tbh.
