.....then the rest of the contenders would have handed it to them.

Not being able able to keep clean sheets will cost them big time, what on earth is Pep doing playing a fullback at centreback??
Now, now. He's a revolutionary you know. The press keep telling us so.

Bring in the women's manager, he has been more successful recently!

Either this is Man City imploding or we are about to witness one of the greatest comebacks in prem history.

That back line is more shambolic than the one I saw from Palace earlier.
Steady on, they still have some way to overtake us!

The level of defending all round this season is abysmal. Seems the art form has been lost.

It is one thing playing a world class Lahm in that role, but a player whose best days are way behind him, come on, he deserves a lot of stick for this decision.

Not with Bailly it hasn't!

He is a top class defender, and someone whom we have missed a heck of a lot whilst he has been out.

It could still end 3-5.

Apparently Pep did an interview years ago, where he said his ideal team would be all midfielders ,basically players with technique to keep the ball regardless of position

I think he got about nine or ten (Neuer probably counts as a midfielder at times!) on at least one occasion at Bayern, such was the high quality of midfielders on offer to him there.

The same simply cannot be said for for City's options.

Not with the young feller up front, they need Jesus badly whilst Aguero is out, but alas he is ineligible until the window opens.

Indeed, but we're not even talking about real intricacies of defensive play - it's just the fundamental basics that are lacking at the moment.

Leicester need to score 3 as well to keep the pattern going for home sides...
Good of them to oblige so quickly

City badly miss Fernandinho. The City defense look ridiculously unprotected without him there. Fernando is garbage.

Steve McManaman appears to be blaming the rain for City struggling.

Is it only raining for one team then, Steve?

Pep needs to learn that you don't win anything unless you have a tried and trusted centreback pairing (or three or whatever), they need to know who is going to push up, who drops a bit deep, almost instinctively.

Throwing a mixture of players together on an almost match day basis, is not how you achieve success.
